The nazis just gave it a bad name.
Actually, the swastika was the symbol of Hitler's church and was above the crucifix above the altar. He just slightly changed it to create the Nazi symbol.

Why should this be a problem? My German wife had no problems with the game and I don't know any Germans who would. They are subjected to a huge amount of brainwashing at school to make them believe that the Nazis were evil.

I agree, I don't see how that game would be a problem to someone who was German. Its not like the entire country embraced Nazism during WW2.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Well actually most Germans did embrace nazism, just like the way most Americans seem to be embracing militarism now.

But that's a topic for another thread

I was more afraid if Rogan´s post was serious too

But seriously, German resistance against the Nazis wasn´t very big, unfortunately.

A minority embraced Nazism. A few faught back (with the life expectancy that that entailed) and the majority neither supported nor hindered the parties' plans.

                    But yes, another thread.

That's a load of crap - I have a university degree in late modern European history - and you don't.

                      So there.

While I agree with you on the facts - uni degrees don´t prove anything except that a person has one

                          True

But let's leave the poor old Germans alone and concentrate on what I am starting to term the "New Germans", our American friends.

I can see a scenario in the future where you couldn't put a stars and stripes in a game because it would frighten children.

what you are alluding to Skanky is the "good German" myth. All those "good Germans" who never supported Hitler. After the war was lost its true - they numbered in the millions.
