The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

optimist!
my preferences:
Eternal Cold doesn't border CFC, is a peninsula and island somewhere in the north. Preferably it'd be near one or more of the finnish countries (if they are willing). As for shape and other such details, i'll make a map (just a modification of Aahz's map)
Here is a very rough map of ubinia. (Brown=mountains, Dark Green=hills)
That's just the basic idea of it, obviously I don't really want the borders to be square, so whoever is doing the map can toy with it however they want.
For an idea of scale, that is a river meeting the sea - I expect it to be very small on the map.
I'm also half-way done making a SimCity 4 region with a similiar layout if anyone is interested.

The Republic of Lavor would be willing to join such a Cartographic Society, for the purpose of our location being fixed by whomever will be making such a map.
Thank You.

I'm joining up too. I made a map today, but couldn't post it as it's GIGANTIC (900-something by 900-something.) It's nothing like the one proposed by aahz, unfortunately, but hopefully we can work something out.

Post it on some webspace and then link to it as an image from here using the ]IMG[ tag

Oh, Tupan is also interested in joining the Apolyton Cartographic Society and Commitee.
I'm pretty much content with the map that Mr. President designed for Tupan. Where in the region my country will be is something that can be decided by the map-makers, but I like its shape and geography.
Some general knowledge about PRDV, that I've compiled in order to give our mapmakers some meat to work with :
population: 32 million.
Capital: Valorville. pop:3,500,000.
Large cities:
Roanoke pop:2,250,000
Aurora:1,900,000
FarmHill:1,450,000
Cardo:1,000,000
The largest river is Valor.
the southernmost mountains are the North Phalgon mountains.
the big mountain mass which is in the middle is Cardo mountains.
The river on which Aurora stands is Aurora river.
The river on which Cardo stands is Egality river.
the large valley from Farmhill in the north, to Roanoke in the south west is Dark Valley.
We're located to the north of Tupan, and Alvis, but we don't control all of the territory betwen ourselves, and Noosland.
A rough map that is drown only to give a general description of the form of Dark Valley.
The DT of the MC is an entirely inland country, and entirely covered by forest. It in itself is medium-small, and currently shelters around 90 million people.
