The Kingdom of Emerald Cove
"Another Day In Paradise"
UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy
Civil Rights: Below Average
Economy: Good
Political Freedoms: Good
Location: Apolyton
The Kingdom of Emerald Cove is a tiny, devout nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Commerce. The average income tax rate is 29%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports, Trout Farming, and Information Technology industries.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force. Emerald Cove's national animal is the rock wallaby and its currency is the rock.

The grand Duchy of Basus
UN Category: Democratic Socialists/Scandinavian liberal paradise
Civil Rights: Very Good
Economy: Good
Political Freedoms: Average/Good
Population: 2.768 billion
Historical perspective:
The people of Basus are part of an ancient and old civilisation which originated in the Flufy Empire region. After a long reign as a regional delegate the region began to crumble as foreign invaders came and destroyed our peaceful region. Their fascist regimes took over and killed Bassian citizens by the millions. Slowly our region recovered but never completely healed. On invitation of Akiria we departed from the Flufy Empire to join Apolyton where we grew back to our original ways and prosperity.
Geological survey
Although Basus is a island nation we have two climatic zones. A temperate and Mediterranean zone. Basus is mostly quite flat but there is a large mountain ridge the breaks up the island in two halves. Both halves have area’s with hills.
The vegetation is lush green with large loaf and pine forests, swamps and moors. Through the middle where the mountain ridge is the terrain becomes more highland like even a bit alpine like.
The people and the culture
As islanders the Bassians are a bit secluded but form a warm and compassionate community. The people are compassionate and balanced. Song dance and literature play a important part in Basus culture. A constant search for harmony has created strong bounds with the natural world. A great respect for all that lives is embedded in every Bassian. Gardening is one of Basus most popular pastimes best enjoyed in municipal gardens and parks. Religion also plays an important role in Basus culture. Their pagan religion entails a polytheistic belief. The Earthmother and father Gaya and Herne play the most important part. But Maat, Hathor and Osiris are also of significance. Martial arts, Yoga and other forms of meditation form one of the basics of their religion. An other very important aspect of the religion and of Basus culture is a deep respect and intrest in law and the fundamental values and rights of the individual/society.
Government
The Basus government is a democratic one. A strict separation between politics and religion is in place. A constitution creates the basic foundation for the government and all it’s authority’s. A dualistic parliamentary system is in place to guarantee a efficient and stable government. The “Trias politica” is in place and seperates politics from the judicial power and the executive power. A coalition between the Basus Socialist Party (BSP) nad the Green Democratic Party (GDP) is in power. The supreme court is elected and the rest of the courts use educated judges.
Economy
The main focus is on the book publishing industry but their is also a focus on high tech industry like software and computer system development. Pharmaceutical industry is increasingly more productive and profitable."There is no life without compassion"

New nation
Hi I just joined
The Incorporated States of Western Apolyton
"Freedom is more than a state of mind"
UN Category: Right-wing Utopia
Civil Rights: Some Economy: Thriving Political Freedoms: Some
Location: Apolyton
The Incorporated States of Western Apolyton is a tiny, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.
The small government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7%. A large private sector is led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales industry, followed by Woodchip Exports and Automobile Manufacturing.
Crime is a problem. Western Apolyton's national animal is the red winged black bird and its currency is the brick.

The Republic of Ming Tran is a tiny, pleasant nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. The small government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8%. A healthy private sector is led by the Gambling, Furniture Restoration, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.

The Armed Republic of Jhardine
The Armed Republic of Jhardine
"Try our bananas!"
UN Category: Psychotic Dictatorship
Civil Rights: Some
Economy: Developing
Political Freedoms: Outlawed
Location: Apolyton
The Armed Republic of Jhardine is a small, pleasant nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 7 million are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, socially-minded morass -- is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and Commerce are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 39%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Door-to-door Insurance Sales.
Elections have been outlawed, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, and scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force. Jhardine's national animal is the badger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the peso.
