How does population work?

Mine's going kinda slow. I've been going for some time now, and I'm only up to 32 million.

it just grows like a normal population

crime and things like organ donation may affect how fast it grows. I have allowed hospitals to pay for organs . Now kids routinely sell their kidney's to pay for college.

Wouldn't that lead to an abundance of men? Lots of men walking around looking at... other men, the original male inhabitants going "this sucks..." and leaving, and all the immigrant naked men going, "there's too many men" and going back?
