  • I got exactly the same one. I went for edu. if the people have good education, then they won't be criminals so why need police, and they won't need welfare because they have jobs and as for cutting taxes, well to hell with that!

        • my first issue was about indicating a spiritual advisor to my nation, and I chose the guy who said that he would immediately resign if he would be appointed.

            • Jedinica Vrijstaat Decides:
              Humans on the Dinner Table?

              Government Acts
              The Issue
In a bid to provide a new revenue stream for Jedinica Vrijstaat's Beef-Based Agriculture industry, it has been suggested that humans could be added to the menu.

              The Debate
"The fact is, the human population is out of control," says Beef-Based Agriculture spokesperson Colin McAlpin. "We have to do something about them anyway, so why not market them as tasty snacks? We could have human kebabs, human pies, human-on-a-sticks--the possibilities are endless! Let's not pass up this golden opportunity to provide a feast, if you will, for our economy."

This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.

"I agree that something needs to be done about human over-population," says random passer-by Fleur Christmas, "but eating them? That's kind of gross. Let's just shoot the ones we have to and shovel their bodies into ditches like normal."

"I am shocked and appalled!" declared SPCA President Buffy King. "If anyone needs to be culled, it's us humans. The humans were here first, remember? We need to take this as a sign to get our industry--agriculture in particular--to back off. The human is part of what makes Jedinica Vrijstaat a great nation!"

                • OK I got the 8 year old kid gambling issue now.

I figure if they have the money, why can't they gamble? . I said go ahead and let children gamble.

                  • check this one out. This is an interesting one. Just for the hell of it I chose #4. Put taxes on meat . It is still a libertarain thing to do, and it will help my economy . sucks to be poor though.

The increasingly militant Animal Liberation Front struck again last night, freeing dozens of chickens bound for delicious snack packs.

                    The Debate
"These nuts have got to be stopped," demands concerned consumer Al du Pont. "They need to face the fact people want snack packs, no matter how many innocent chickens must be sacrificed. Besides, chickens would do the same to us if they had the chance."
                    [Accept]

"These Liberationists are highlighting an important issue," pleads Jennifer McAlpin. "Too often, animals are put through needless cruelty, just to make their flesh taste a little more deliciously succulent. I'm sure we could ban the more horrific abuses without putting too much of a dent in our national obesity figures. Couldn't we?"
                    [Accept]

"Animals have feelings too!" yelled protestor Anne-Marie King, before being set upon by hungry passers-by. "Free the animals! Ban meat-eating!"
                    [Accept]

Economist Pip Falopian has an alternative. "You don't need to take away the people's right to choose. You just need to build the costs of animal suffering into the price. A tax on meat-eating, in proportion to the amount of cruelty involved, would do the trick. Plus think of the benefit for the national coffers! Of course, poor people wouldn't be able to afford meat, but that's just more incentive for them to get jobs."

                    • I've tried 2 and 4 now. I want to be different each time I pick one, but I keep having the one on mining under the forest, 3 days running, so my economy's gone down (I won't allow it). Oh well, I might even have to let vote buying if this carries on

                        • Well, you could allow the people meet but ban slaughtering animals in inhumane ways. I went with #2, Jenifer McAlpin, there is no reason to put animals through needless cruelty. Let the people have meet, but let the animals die as painlessly as possible.

                          • I chose a tax on meats. The effects seem to be just a blurb under my description that says only the rich can afford to eat meat.

So far I've been good on repeat issues. I have it on 2 issues a day, and have had only 1 issue come up twice (defense spending)
