As an old soccernation, NCC Pavesia will with no doubt play in UAFA cup. We'd also like to bid for hosting, but we just don't have the capacite for hosting a multi-nation tournament.

The stats of the team comes as fast we can, aka tomorrow.
The Chuck Norris military unit was not used in the game Civilization 4, because a single Chuck Norris could defeat the entire combined nations of the world in one turn.

        N3 Sports: Guardinia 0-0 Ceroo
[or RL Norway 0-0 Wales ]
In their first pre-Poly 2004 warm-up game a severly depleted Ceroo side managed to grind out a 0-0 draw against neighbouring Guardinia. The Guardinians took a long time to get into the match and rarely threatened in the first half, however, had some clear-cut chances in the second half, with some 'star' strikers missing some easy goals. We interviewed a Cerooan fan outside the stadium: "They should have beaten us! It was a second-string side we put out so it's a great result, I'm going to hang around the stadium and try to get Henning Berg's autograph [in RL, I failed ] , can I just say: HI MUM!"

However, it is expected that many key players will return in time for the next warm-up match against the talented San Antonio Bay.

Jonchastan's side is ready to provide some opening round fodder for the big boys [think, say, Qatar RL].

Well, Bergen is the city that's famous for the rain, but we haven't had any either for the past week or so...

Oh, and Guardinia definitely wants to participate in the cup!

I'm still minding Archaic's nations . . . we can have one or two of them in the tournament if we need numbers. I recommend Alecrast and North Spire as they have the coolest names.

                            Pre-Tournament International Friendly

                            Razorwing Grove, Adailton

                            Karakas 3 - 0 Dakmoristan
                            (Belletti 48, Aimar 55, Rosenberg 85)

The scoreline somewhat flattered the home team, with all three goals coming in the second half.

The first half was a physical affair. The Dakmorins committed 15 fouls in an attempt to break up the home team's passing game - earning much derision from the home fans.

The second half was more open, and the deadlock was broken on 48 minutes when wing-back Jorge Belletti cut in from the right wing and fired a left-footed shot at the Dakmorin goal. Keeper Alex Meakin looked to have it covered, but the ball somehow slid under him and into the net.

This restored the home team's confidence and they seemed to play more expressively after it. Just seven minutes after Belletti's opener, Pablo Aimar clipped the ball into the net from Ronaldinho Gaucho's slide-rule pass.

Karakas played the last half-hour with ten players after defender Fernando Navarro was sent off after the referee ruled that he elbowed Dakmorin striker Hasni Effendi. Video replays suggested that not only did Navarro elbow Effendi, he also kicked him a couple of times.

The Dakmorins were unable to make their one-man advantage count, and conceded a third goal on 85 minutes. On a break-away attack, Ronaldinho Gaucho's chipped shot hit the post, but midfielder Will Rosenberg was on hand to finish into an empty net.

Navarro's red card means he will be suspended for the first game of 'Poly 2004.

                            Team Line-ups:

                            Karakas (3-4-1-2):

Brad Sherwood; Fernando Navarro, Walter Samuel, Andy Gargett; Jorge Belletti, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Will Rosenberg, Ben Richards (Leonardo de Nascimento 71); Pablo Aimar; John Harkes, Claudio Lopez (Predrag Djordjevic 66).
