The voice of the woman sounded like a forboding siren song. The squad of FCL soldiers hunkered down in the Azani bank shook their heads.
"Damn, tell that woman to shut up already!" One of the soldiers snickered.
"Maybe she's right, maybe we're fighting for the wrong reasons. Hell, I would definitely buy these Azani's a beer if I met 'em in the bar."
The assembled FCL soldiers turned to look at the lone dissenter talking. Some wore faces of disbelief, while others looked on with concern.
The lone soldier continued...
"Look, why are we even here? The good General said we're here to help the Azani's resist foreign influences, but the Azani's are fighting against us. We're here messing everything up and now we're fighting while bombs, artillery shells, and whatever else explodes around us."
The assembled men hung their heads in thought, some felt ashamed while others merely took in what the lone soldier said.
"That's it, I'm getting out there and surrendering." The soldier said, standing up.
As he headed toward the exit, the squad leader spoke up.
"You're not going anywhere. I don't give a damn about what some crackpot lady says, the General said we gotta fight here so we're gonna fight." The squad leader stood up.
"You're falling for their propaganda and all that psychological warfare bull. Snap out of it."
The lone soldier didn't listen and kept walking toward the exit.
The squad leader unholstered his pistol and aimed it at the lone soldier.
"I'm not going to tell you again. Get back here or I'll execute you right here for treason."
The soldier kept walking and reached to open the exit door.
The squad leader pulled the trigger and the soldier dropped... a gunshot wound to the head.

"Brave Franklychanland soldiers!" The voice began, "You are fighting an unjust war against the people of Azan, a war that you cannot win. Why are you fighting? You are not fighting to defend your own country, but to satisfy the ambitions of a madman. You are in another country, shooting at the Azani soldiers. You would buy anyone of them a drink if you meet him in a pub, and so would they.
"Brave soldiers of Frankgchanland! It is now time to bring an end to this conflict, so peace can start to heal this wounded land. With peace, you can go home to your parents, to your family, to your loved ones, and to your friends. You have fought with courage, even though your fighting is misguided. You are outnumbered and you are short on supplies. A lot of you are hungry. Many of you are wounded.
"Lay down your weapons. You will be treated humanely. We will tend to your injured, we will feed your hungry.
"Further resistance on your part will only bring more deaths to your side, and it will all be for nought, for you are fighting an unjust war, and unjust wars cannot be won."
