Just popping in and signing into Apolyton to give a heads up on my situation.
I know I said that I would be able to post something later today, but I've been called into work at my other job. I probably won't be able to post on Thursday cause I have to pull a doubleshift, which means I can't post until Friday. I know this'll get some people pi**ed off at me, but hey, RL work calls and I must answer like the drone I am.
Apologies from me guys, my bad.

Auldoninna HQ to Frankychan
We have decided you nation has paid enough for its actions in Azan and wish to offer you a peace proposal that we hope is agreeable. We ask that you withdraw totally from all parts of Azan South and West of the Azan river including the town of Hofesh. If this is accomplished we shall cease fire immedaitely.
We wish to see the loss of life on both sides ended as soon as possible.
I am sure the coalition will offer you their own separate peace deal for the East Coast.
Upon removal of your forces we shall remove most of our forces just leaving a peace keeping force to monitor the sitaution.
If you dont agree then we shall be forced to push on in force into FCL territory to enforce a full surender.GM of MAFIA #40 ,#41, #43, #45,#47,#49-#51,#53-#58,#61,#68,#70, #71

Ali'i City, Frankychanland Capital
HQ Command Bunker
General Frankychan read the intelligence on the latest Jonchastani activity. The Jonchastani's were forming a military force formed from Free Azani and Frankychanland rebels and the Jonchastani's were apparently arming them to join the fight to liberate Azan from his grasp.
General Frankychan pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.
Another thorn in my side.
"General, we are getting intelligence from our submarine fleet," A naval aide approached General Frankychan.
"What is it?" the General said in frustration.
"General, our submarines are reporting increased activity from the Coalition fleet. It looks like they are amassing a huge armada. Something big is going to happen."
The General stood up and sighed.
"Order the fleet to do hit-and-run tactics on their troop transports."
The aide bowed and headed off to relay the command.
Maybe I should consider a ceasefire...
---------
FCL Supply Convoy, North of Roshem
Sergeant Yim doublechecked the map in the cabin of his command humvee. The fall of Roshem meant that the supply lines in Azan would have to be redirected. The supplies meant for Roshem were being redirected back to Tal Zach.
Damned command keeps making me run back and forth in this cursed land.
Yim looked up from the map just in time to see a rocket propelled grenade sizzling toward the supply truck behind him.
"AMBUSH!!! Ditch the trucks and use 'em for cover!!!"
Yim and his driver dove out from the humvee and immediately sought cover. Yim grasped his machine gun and listened as the rpg hit the supply truck.
The front end of the truck was immediately blown into the air, showering the FCL troops in shrapnel. One of the FCL truck drivers shouted over the chaos.
"AZANI REBELS!!! IN THE HILLS!"
Sergeant Yim looked over around from the back of the humvee toward the low hills on the supply convoy's right. Azani rebels were seen spilling over the crest of the hill, firing machine guns and other small arms.
Yim got up and ran for the cluster of FCL troops behind another one of the supply trucks, snapping off gunfire as he ran.
"Sir, what the hell are we gonna do? That's a hell of a lot of rebs..."
Yim leaned up behind the truck and took a sideglance at the hill.
"We defend ourselves," he said without turning back, "And kill them all....or we all die here."

Tal Zach
FCL Command HQ for Azan
General Momotaro sat in his jeep as his driver sped from area to area. The general wanted a personal view on the defenses and perfect control.
As his command jeep and escorts rounded a corner, a lone Azani ran into the street.
"Free Azan! Fight the Oppressors!" the dissenter screamed as he threw a molotov at the head humvee.
The general startled at first, then watched as the protestor was immediately cut down by gunfire. The general's aide sitting next to him leaned toward General Momotaro.
"Sir, I think we should move into one of the more heavily armored humvee's."
General Momotaro sighed.
"Ok. When we finish directing the next defenses, we'll move into the armored humvee's. And we'll set up decoys to drive in the command jeep just in case."
*****
General Momotaro inspected the perimeter of Tal Zach, or T.Z. as it was known in FCL speak. Anti-personnel and anti-tank mines were laced around the perimeter, as well as barbed wire and makeshift bunkers. The general looked at one of the blown out buildings, trying to find the anti-tank bazooka teams hidden there.
Good. Well hidden.
The general paced up and down the perimeter with self-satisfaction. This area would be just like the others around T.Z., minefields and other obstacles would make the Coalition take a heavy toll to liberate Tal Zach.
Numerically inferior, Tactically superior.
General Momotaro knew even with all the might he commanded, it was next to nothing compared to the combined might of the Coalition.....some FCL soldiers were calling it the 'Grand Alliance'. Momotaro shook his head.
Urban warfare is our specialty, let them try and take T.Z.
The General continued his self-inspection just as he heard one of his soldiers yell at him.
"General, GET DOWN!!!"
Before he could think, he was immediately tackled by FCL soldiers. An unknown shot rang out and hit the concrete wall just behind where the general stood moments before.
"Sniper! Get the general out of here!"Last edited by Frankychan; June 14, 2004, 06:00.Despot-(1a) : a ruler with absolute power and authority (1b) : a person exercising power tyrannically

FCL/Azan border
The rain sheeted down across the FCL lands, drenching whomever was foolish enough to be outside without protection. Frankychanland was a lush, green nation due to it's environmental protection policies. Here and there, paths were carved into the forests for the FCL Uranium Mining project. The mountaneous, green region of Frankychanland merged with the hilly, often savannah-like lands of Azan. The two nations could not be more different, culturally and geographically.
The slight drizzle crept from the FCL territory to wet the Azani region near the border. Lieutenant Hanover stood next to his truck, binoculars held up towards the Azani territories. The drizzle wasn't helping his vision any.
"What do you see, Bill?" Lieutenant Hanover's partner, Alex Takai, asked as he came back from relieving himself in the nearby bushes.
"Can't make 'em out totally. Damned rain is fogging up my vision. But it looks like Auldoninans. Lots of 'em. Looks like they're ready to make a move into our lands."
Takai snorted. "Bring them on."
Hanover put down his binocs and turned to look at his partner.
"Don't be a stupid. If they do decide to invade our lands, it would be hell. We've already had to deal with missile attacks, bombing runs, and the terrorist bio-attacks on two of our cities. We'd be screwed."
Takai shrugged in ambivalence. "That's exactly why I want 'em to come. We deserve payback for Frankzappa and Franksinatra."
Hanover turned back to look at the Auldoninans massed on the other side of the FCL border.
"Get command on the line, we gotta tell them we got a 'situation'."

Private Communique
TO: Auldoninan Government
FROM: The Dictatorship of Frankychanland
SUBJECT: FCL WITHDRAW FROM AZAN
The nation of Frankychanland is deliberating whether or not a withdrawal from Azan would be in the best interest of Frankychanland. We are well aware of your troops on the Azani/FCL border and are taking into consideration our options.
The Auldoninan government should realize that withdrawing from Azan is not a simple cut-and-paste affair. Our troops stationed there simply cannot be picked up and moved from their locations and dropped back into FCL territory.
Additionally, an invasion of Frankychanland might be seen by the other nations of Apolyton as Auldonina's power play, trying to grab whatever territory it can in the result of all the chaos. Frankychanland doesn't want any more bloodshed and would like to resolve this situation without anymore killing.
Frankychanland will consider the withdrawal of troops, but asks the Auldoninan government to delay any ambitions concerning our territories.

ASW frigate NNS White River, somewhere in the ocean between Azan and Guardinia
Lieutenant Commander Howard James looked at the message that just popped up in a window on his console.
"Captain, the Arctic Glow relayed the message that an AS-3 had found a sneak. We have orders to intercept. The AS-3 will assist."
"Thank you. Plot an interception course Mr Gifu. Speed 30 knots. Execute when ready." James looked around the bridge of the modern submarine hunter.
"Yes sir."
Less than 30 seconds later, the ship made a sharp turn and lunged into action.
"How's the feed from the AS-3?"
"It's coming in strong and clear. The target appears to be a FCL class-H diesel boat, bearing 15°, speed 15 knots, distance 3100 meters and closing."
"The sneak wants to position itself on a lane to prey on our transport ships. Lets try to force it to surface first."
"Distance 2500 meters and closing." the comm tech announced.
"Distance 1800 meters and closing."
"Distance 1300 meters and closing. It's also slowing sir, down to 12 knots now."
"Distance 1100 meters. It's down to 9 knots and moving closer to the surface, depth 45 meters."
"Launch a depth charge. Depth 60 meters," Howard ordered.
"Yes sir. Charge launched. 20 meters away from target. Charge goes off."
That should be a good scare, Howard thought.
FCL attack sub
The boat was just rocked by a powerful shockwave. A couple of pipes bursted and several crewmen were frantically trying to repair them.
The captain was cursing. They were discovered by the enemy, and there's no way they could escape now. They could either surrender, or try to take as many of the enemies with them as they could.
"Hard about! 30 metres deep! Flood tubes 1, 2, and 3, ready to launch!"
"Where are they?" the captain demanded. The sonar tech was sitting in his chair. The captain looked at the sonar tech, who was looking ahead with a blank expression oh his face. Then it dawned on him.
"It looks like his eardrums got bursted and our sonars don't have overload protection. Curse our obsolete equipment. Get somebody to replace him!"
"Captain, I can't see any enemy vessels nearby on the waterfall display. The troop transports are supposed to use this lane, but they are still a few kilometers away."
"Great. That means either our sonars are busted, or we are targeted by planes. Periscope depth. Lets see if there's anything out there."
The boat shook a second time, even more violently than the first. More pipes were bursted.
"I think they are trying to force us to surface," remarked the navigator.
"Periscope depth, captain." the navigator announced, after he picked himself up from the floor.
"Up periscope!" part of the scope came down with a sheewoot sound. The captain flipped the handles out, thenlooked through the 'scope to scan the surface of the sea.
"Of all things holy!" he yelled, "Quick, crush dive to 60 meters! Evasive action!"
The boat lunged about as it was forcing water into the tanks.
"There's a large warship bearing down at us, 200 meters or so and closing fast! Sonar tech! What is going on?!"
"Sir, there's this small signal, the size of a petrol boat or ferry. Is that it?"
"A stealth frigate. That's all we need. Plot a resolution for tubes 1, 2, and 3. Launch when ready."
NSS White River
"Transients sir! The sneak is about to launch torpedoes," the sonar tech reported.
"Thought so," said the captain. It seemed that he had anticipated such an attack.
"Torpedoes in the water! 3! I counted 3!"
"Speed?"
"24 knots."
"Hard turn left."
"Yes sir."
The thick metal plates creaked as the powerful engines pushed the frigate around forcefully in the water.
"Slow to 23 knots."
"Yes sir."
"If the torps close to less than 50 meters, speed up to 30 knots."
"Yes captain."
"The sneak is veeing 60° off sir."
"Pretty good play there. Pretty good. Lets shadow him."
FCL attack sub
"Well?"
"The torps have established a tail pursuit sir. The enemy is moving at 23 knots and the torps are at 160 meters and closing slowly," the executive officer said, sitting in the sonar station.
"23 knots?" the captain felt frustrated. The weapons could run out of fuel before catching up.
"Captain!"
"Yes?"
"The ship is turning into us."
The captain groaned. No...
"Torpedo in the water sir! Theirs! Distance 200 meters and closing. Speed 47 knots!"
The captain almost fell out from his chair. Where in the world could they make something so fast?
"47 knots?! Maximum speed! Launch noisemaker at my command!
"3...2...1...launch!"
"Noisemaker launched."
"Torpedo distracted sir... no! It reacquires us! I think it is controlled."
The captain suddenly realised something.
"200 meters, eh? That's way beyond the safety distance. They fooled us good this time, making us thought that a ship launched the torp. In fact, it's a plane that dropped it, and the torp is controlled by wire."
The captain signed.
"Lets give this one more try. Hard about right, launch two noisemakers, then turn left 60° and cut the engines. Ready to blow the tanks at any time."
"Captain, torpedo exploded on a noisemaker."
"Excellent."
"Captain! The enemy frigate is almost on top of us. And the 3 torpedoes? I think one of them is pinging us."
"No...! Max acceleration! Periscope depth!"
"Aye captain."
"Sir, it's still gaining on us. Impact in 20 seconds."
"Countdown."
"18...17...16...15...14...13...12...11...10..."
"Blow the tanks, now!"
Huge amounts of compressed air was blasted into the water tanks, as the sub flinged itself at the surface. A large whirl and a huge cloud of bubbles were left in the wake. The torpedo, got lost in the maze, exploded against a phatom target.
NSS White Water
"Captain, the sneak surfaced."
"Is it flying a white flag?"
"Yeah. Some guy just opened the hatch and came out with one."
"Good."
NSS White Water, later that day
Captain James went to greet his counterpart, the submarine skipper, who were in the prison cells together with his crew. A private bellowed his presence.
"Captain Wright?" James spotted somebody who fitted the description of the sub's captain.
"I am he."
"I understand that you ordered your crew to destroy the codebook."
"You would too, Captain..."
"James."
"Yes, Captain James."
"But you surrendered your boat instead of going down."
"Yes, I am a patriot and fight for my country, but I also cannot let my crew to face a premature death in a watery grave. We worked together for a very long time, they are like my brothers."
"But you are fighting an unjust war, Captain Wright," James tipped his hat, "I bid you a good day."Last edited by Urban Ranger; June 14, 2004, 07:41.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

FCL Border West Coast
.Sir , orders are just in from HQ...
Where we heading now?
Nowhere sir, we are to sit and wait
Wait!! Wait for waht ?
I dont know sir but they did say get our heads down low....
**** !!!! Get everyone into cover, now!!!!!
As the tank crews scurried for cover way overhead the Bombers were on their way. The first incurison into FCL since the start of the war. This was the beginning!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hofesh
The General looked through his binoculars at the northern section of town. The poor FCL had been cut off for a few days now and had gone very quiet. All pleas to come out abd klive had been ignored. He signalled to the radio operator and the radio operator gave the code 'GHX- 1000, Code Name Tiger' The radio returned static for awhile but then came the reply. 'HVW-1000, Confirming the Tiger unleashed'
The previous few days they had dropped leaflets all over Hofesh advising the attack was coming, many civilians had attempted to leave, but FCL forces prevente dthem going. The FCL dug in deep.
The Artilelry Batterys then opened up and for the next few hours barrage after barrage flew into the FCL zone. The ground rumbled and shook with the explosions. First hit was the Power Station to the north and then the Sub stations around the city. Soon all power was out. Under cover of darkness the first brigades of Auldonina tanks entered the FCL controlled sections of Hofesh. Destruction was all around. The bombed out remains of many buildings were still on fire. But the FCL still didnt run. They returned fire as the Audlonina tanks entered and soon their was death and destruction on both sides.
The Free Azan ground troops with the auldoninas shook their head in sorrow to see their former city in such ruin. But they marched behind the tanks and began a building by building search for the remaining FCL forces.
Apache Attack Heleicopters circled over head, a few were blasted from the sky with Ground to air missiles before the infantry took note of the lcoations the missiles came from and suitabley dealt with them.
By morning light the fighitng continued but at a less frentic rate. Medics were being rushed forward to aid the dying and injured. Civilians were being rushed from their houses to safety as each building was searched. With the arrival of lunch time the shooting had basically ended. Auldonina and Azan held most of the town, only a few pockets were left with FCL.
The General again signalled his radio officer . and the code given was 'TRY-2000, Elephant' Soon the reply came 'GOW 2000, Elephant trumpet to begin'
Tanks with Loudspeakers patrolled the streets blaring out in three languages , in Hivese, Frankese and in Azanian: "We request full and unconditional surrender of all FCL and or Hive troops. You have till 0001 Tomorrow to respond."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tel Azan
The clean up continued with tens of thousands of volunteers in Biochem suits scrubbing every building in the city to rid it off the Chemciasl dropped by the Azan. Already over 250,000 had died and the hospitals were stil lfilling. But the fight was on and the Scientists of Auldonina had come up with a cleanser for the Chmeical in the open, but as of yet had no vacine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Auldoninna HQ
The Field Marshall read the FCL repsonse and wondered what it meant. 'they would think about it i guess' he thought. Wel lthe previous nights bombing run , might make them respoond quicker. Also the soon to fal lHofesh would mean that FCL would hav eless to bargain with. He had already ordered a division of Alpine troops to start searching the mountains along the west coast for any FCL troops stil lremaining. It would be a slow process probably months in the total operation of 'Clean Azan' but his orders were to continue the war till FCL agreed to a total withdrawal. Once the agreeemnt in place he was ordered to Cease Fire immediatly. And allow as much time as necessary for all FCL forces t oremove.GM of MAFIA #40 ,#41, #43, #45,#47,#49-#51,#53-#58,#61,#68,#70, #71

Centralis Military Base, Azan, just north of Roshem
As far as the eye could see in every direction, there was movement. Troops running around trying to find their assigned units, tanks columns forming up, temporary structures being dismantled, aircraft taking off and landing... the noise was deafening. An army of 200 000 did not start moving quickly.
Inside the command centre, the activity seemed to be even more frenzied, if that was possible, with aides rushing around delivering messages and information pouring in from hundreds of different sources. At the heart of it all was a large, folding table covered with papers and comptuer terminals and surrounded by the senior officers of the expeditionary force.
"So, if what you lot say is correct, we should be on the move within an hour... excellent. We're ahead of schedule. How are the Karakasians coming along?"
With that, General Brandt looked down the table at the Karasian liason officer.
"Ready when you are, General."
"Good, good... now all we're waiting on is that promised aid from SeOCC. I have no intention of hurling either troops or artillety shells into a city full of civilians unless the enemy are too confused to respond properly. Any indication of when they'll arriving?"
One of the other officers looked up.
"Actually, sir, we received this statement a little while ago... with any luck, they should be here by tommorrow, and they can join us on the way."
He pushed a still-warm sheet of paper toward Brandy, who picked it up.
In accordance with our alliance to Centralis as a member of the CACE, SeOCC has agree to provide EDW equipment to aid in the timely end of hostilities in the region. SeOCC has deployed, and placed under control of the Centralis military, four Green Knight Defenders, two Green Knight Guardians, eighteen Scarecrow 1's, nine Scarecrow 2's, and and unspecified number of military grade EDW consoles for use within mobile command centers with a matching number of forward jamming arrays.
"Excellent... we move, then. Keep logs of all intercepted FCL communications, and hand it over to them when they arrive - I want them to start work on code-breaking immediately. With any luck, by the time we reach After, we'll have their lcoal communciations jammed and the keys to decrypting whatever does get through. Dismissed."
