A young thin man nodded in answer to the commanders question, he seemed thinner then everybody else, most likely straight out of the Hives academy due to his intelligence and the military fitness regime hadn't finished with his body yet.

Tapping his thumbs on the table, the High Admiral waited for word from the fleet. The bright red phone rang. "Yes".
"Sir, Endeavour reported in, they seen the flash and later, remnants of the cloud, it is confirmed an atomic blast did occur".
"Damn it. Any damage to thee fleet?"
"No sir, all vessels in the first fleet are reporting okay, and Captain Landeros says that the recon flights confirmed it was an Auldoninnan facility".
"Divert the fleet, send them north, past Auldoninna. I want to get a good idea of their fleet movements, plus they may be called upon should the situation escalate further"
"Sir, the Hive, they are sending four of their divisions too"
"I saw the report, four battlegroups would be outnumbered by the first fleet"
"And, I guess, we are on the same side this time..."
"Make sure Landeros knows he is not to trust the Hive commanders, should they come into contact. But he is to maintain a non-aggressive stance towards them".
"Yes sir".
The admiral lowered the handset and walked to the window, looked out across the ocean, towards Alecrast. 'We needed that fleet back here' he thought. The INC was well over-budget for the year- improvements to the navy's airforce [OOC: Ceroo's INC controls the army and airforce, the islands' naval tradition placed a strong emphasis on the naval forces] costed billions of Ceroos, recalling the fleet was meant to be a cost-cutting excercise. Plus, some ships would be needed to patrol Cerooan waters, the departure of the thrid fleet to Aan earlier in the month had Cerooan defences pretty thin in some places...

Later, Apolyton Ocean
The Cerooan First Fleet, en route back from Ceroo de Wysteria, changed course and began to head north-east. This was Ceroo's largest naval force, and contained the Flagship Dreadnought, INS Endeavour. The occasional merchant vessel from North Texas passed, but these seas were pretty empty. For now.

Jonchastan would like to remind all interest parties that, while aid shipments from all nations will be welcomed, the armed forces of those nations directly involved in the FCL/Azan conflict - namely, Ceroo, Guardinia, Frankychanland, Auldoninna and the Hive - will not be welcome in the relief area established by the League of Armed Neutrality. We hope these nations, some of whom Jonchastan looks upon as great friends, will be understanding of this policy. The last thing we want is to harm our relations with our neighbours. However, the mere presence of the armed forces of any of the nation involved would jeopardize the stability of our relief efforts.

Destroyer GNS Excalibur, in Free Azan Waters, east of the relief area established by the League of Armed Neutrality.

Guardinian Navy warships had been providing protective escort for merchants carrying aid shipments to the relief area. As the convoy entered Azan waters and began the approach to the relief area, Jonchastan ships appeared on the horizon up ahead. Remembering that this was supposed to be a neutral base and that Guardinia was currently not considered neutral, captain Anderson had a pretty good idea of what should be done.

As the Excalibur accelerated slightly and moved up in front of the fleet, the signalman flashed the following message over to the Jonchastanians up ahead:

To Jonchastan Navy
This is Guardinian Navy warship Excalibur
We are here on a mission to provide protective escort for unarmed convoy carrying supplies to your relief area. This is as far as we go. You take it from here. Good luck!

The Excalibur and the other Guardinian warships began slowing down while the merchants kept steaming ahead. Soon they were passing through the protective screen of the Guardinian Navy. As he and the others began to turn around and prepare to leave the area, captain Anderson hoped he wouldn't come to regret this...

On board the Frigate JPS Fall of the Ancien Régime, inside the naval patrol zone of the League of Armed Neutrality, Free Azan

Captain Isaac Bernstein watched nervously as the Guardinian relief convoy made its way towards the port at New Aurora. He would have loved to have the Guardinian warships along with them, but that would be just the excuse the fascists needed to launch an attack.

Sure, with the help of Guardinia's sleek, modern destroyers, Jonchastan's aging fleet would be more than able to beat back any within striking distance with little or no problem, but that would undoubtedly be the end of Jonchastan's neutrality, and put all the good work they were doing for the Azani people in jeopardy.

As the huge industrial cranes at New Aurora came into view, Captain Berstein relaxed a little, and looked admiringly around the bridge of the Fall of the Ancien Régime. Considering the ship had been launched almost forty years ago (she was called the Emir Abdullah then), the Ancien Régime had held together well. With all her refits, she was more than a match for any ship of her class. Still, if the Central Committee was serious about this "internationalist" turn of theirs, they would have to start spending some of Jonchastan's oil revenue on some new equipment.

Bernstein made a mental note to advocate more spending at the next ship's council meeting. Delegate elections were coming up again soon, after all.

With the last of the supply ships safely in port, the Ancien Régime slowed, then turned to the South. With any luck, the rest of these supply runs will go as smoothly, but Captain Bernstein wasn't about to take any chances.

Auldonina Navy reports today they have sunk 4 vessels entering Auldonina waters without authority. The Submarine Divisional HQ released the statement today.

"The unknown vessesl entered our waters and when approached failed to respond , when asked to stop they continued further into our waters. We fired across their bows and still they faield to stop, however they increased speed to try to outrun our surface boats. The Submarines in the area were contacted and ordered to intercept. All 4 Vessels were sunk."

President Sarah looked over the final reports and smiled. The tests were al lsuccesful. Whilst Auldonina was already fully armed wityh Nuke Weopons , these latest tests on the latest nuclear blasts were vital in ensuring the safety of her nation. The fleet and airforce were already fully loaded with the older Nuke AA345, but this new cheaper more efficient weopon would save money in the long run the AB767 Nuke was far more explosive yet emitted less radiation due to latest scientific breakthru using new isotopes.

She knew al lthis and was pleased, if nuke war ever broke out , would be nice to hav eless radiationb she thought.

She looked over at the missile test reports. the long range missile was capable of being launched from anywhere to anywhere, whilst her current arsonel only allowed launching from much closer. She was happy she had access to land areas close to areas she had most concern with. Any launch of any nuke from any of the people she regarded as unfriendly woudlbe detected and allow full launch capabilitys from Azan territory and the newly created bases on the mainland.

Sarah knew she would never launch first, but she also knew her enmies would if she didnt maintain her own arsenol in full capacity, only MAD (mutualy assured destructiuon) would hold the world in peace.

He turned Southern News off. "We," he said, "are going to Jonchastan and Basus."

Auldoniina Government Falls in a coup

News flash from Auldinna Central.

In a surprise move today, Field marshall Eric Brooke has stormed the nations capital and taken control of the government, he states the latest government moves of trying to escualte the war as his motives, and that he will not allow his army to be be put at risk for a trifling matter like Azan.

He has ordered a full recall of all Auldonnia troops from the Azan island and will be speaking at a press conference soon. The last government have all been arrested on Corruption issues.
