The Egalitarian Technocracy of Azan is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 700 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 38%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Information Technology.
Euthanasia is legal, citizens must pay to enjoy Azan's pristine beaches, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Azan's national animal is the oran-gutan, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the The Azani Pound.~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

The Disputed Territories of Former Azan
"We Remember"
UN Category: Left-wing Utopia
Civil Rights: Superb Economy: Reasonable Political Freedoms: Superb
Location: Apolyton
The Disputed Territories of Former Azan is a tiny, safe nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- is mainly concerned with Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 37%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Retail industry.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control. Former Azan's national animal is the oran-gutan, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the FCL left big toe.

Auldonina troops have been ordered to police al lcitys under the rule of the local Azanians, as they have no police of their own , this movement of troops is for thier own protection to prevent terrorist activity in their citys...GM of MAFIA #40 ,#41, #43, #45,#47,#49-#51,#53-#58,#61,#68,#70, #71

I tried to mix the settings between Azan and Frankychanland in a logical way (FCL flag, Azan national animal), but feel free to change things up if you want.
btw, Franky: I stole this flag from one of the nations in the Hawaii region. I thought you might want to use it instead of the French Polynesian one you have now...~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

My suggestion is just RP the whole situation on the forum. If you have noticed, military issues never matter - in fact, almost anything doesn't matter(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

But since the area will never be on the map, it doesn't matter, does it? Why go through all the trouble? You can have as many countries as you want as it is.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

Why will it never be on the map? We've had a great roleplay going for the past week or two, and this fits into it beautifully. Do you have a reason against (if so please explain), or are you just in a bad mood?~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

For what reason should it be placed on the map? As far as I know, the original rules only allow real countries that are run by players to be placed. I see no reason to change it now.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget
