At a midnight ceremony in Kalan Rega, the flag of the Republican League of Karakas was raised to fly side by side with that of the Republic of Kyralia. The nation divided so bitterly for so long was made whole again.

Some changes will be made in Kyralia, notably in the area of education. Previously, the isolated island's offical language was Numenorean; now, public schools will be required to use English and Spanish.

Overall, though, the tone on both sides of the strait is optimistic . . .
