      (extremely secret)
We have an agent infiltrated in the CFLA organization, his code name is Agent 002, but his mission name is "Don Francesco Cherubini". He send us all the information using the morse code, by pressing a button of his watch.

Currently King Giovanni and Queen Valentina are held prisoner in a CFLA military prison located 2 kilometers east from the town of Barbaresco.

There are about 35 guards looking over the security of the prison, and an additional 15 guarding the location where the royals stay, two of which are following them in everything they, with the only expection of when they go to the bathroom. The whole prison is empty, only the royals are there.

They change the guards every 3 hours.

If you have any plans please communicate it over to us.

Is the town of Barbaresco a stronghold of CFLA? Is it possible to contact Agent 002 and smuggle items to him?

You speak of changing guards, do you mean all of them (35 for the prision + 15 with the royals), or just the 2 following the royals around, or other combination?

How do they secure food and drinking water?

It seems that the Royalist and the Repubblicans decided to temporary put aside their differences and coordinated a double attack against the CFLA forces, which are taken in the middle of a two front war.

The CFLA Army was forced to retreat by the Repubblican Army a long way till the river "Birra", where they managed to finally stop the advincing Repubblican army.

On the north things are not going any better for the CFLA, the Royalist managed to capture the Mount Grappa, and liberated several towns and villages in their path.

The CFLA have established two defensive lines in order to resist against the attacks of their enemies, the Saint George Line in the north, and the Saint Patrick Line in the south.

It seems that the Savoyard are also preparing for entering the action, the Savoyard and the Royalist recently signed a pact in which they declared in not attacking each other until the other threats are gone.
This released a lot of men for both factions, and the Savoyard forces seems to be heavily concentrated near the border of Communist Wine.

The Communist fortified their border with the Savoyard and Royalist, but concentrated mainly in the production and in icreasing the industrial output, in order to produce more aircrafts, the communist also concentrated in training many pilots.

Barbaresco is not the CFLA stronghold, actually the inhabitants of Barbaresco do not seem happy about the CFLA gov't. However Barbaresco is a very easily defended location.

We believe that the CFLA picked that location for that reason, as it is far away from the coast, it is at the foot of the big mountain range running acroos Wine, and is defended by a river running 6 kilometers in the east.

We were talking of only those 2 guards looking over the royals, the other have 8 hours turns.

all their supplies come from Barbaresco, which is also where most guards come from.

It may be possible to contact Agent 002, by using the same watch he is using to comunicate with us, but you must know the morse code to use it. We will provide you with some of those watches.

Sending him items can be done, as we can send some of our deliveres to Gelso (the location where Agent 002 is), than contact the Agent with the location where he can find the items, but it risky as we know Gelso is very well fortified.

Could you give us precise information about the town, such as geographic location, faction ownship, nearest Royalist stronghold, number of defenders, equipment and moral, who is in command, etc.

This seems to present a weak link, but further informatio is required. Such as frequency of these deliveries, who makes them, etc.

Also, do the prison guards (all 50 of them) rotate? That is, do new guards from Barbaresco take their place?

So Agent 002 is not in the prison compound, but just inside the CFLA?

No, Agent 002 is in Gelso, that's where the Military HQ of the CFLA is located.

Barbaresco is much more nearer to the Repubblican front than to our front, all prison guard rotate, ALL at the same time, three buses reach every eight hours the prison bringing the new 50 men inside the prison, and taking the other 50 back to Barbaresco.

Supplies come once aver two dai at 6:00 AM, the CFLA military transports take care of that.

As I said most guards actually come from Barbaresco, and all of them are based in that town.

We now that the defenses of Barbaresco are under the direct control of the CFLA Great Bishop Antonio Pizarro, We know there are some 250-300 soldiers in the whole town, and also we know of the presence of some AA Turret and of a small armored batallion consisting of 6 tanks.

Also here is a map with the locations of Dolcetto (the CFLA capital) Gelso and Barbaresco, as well as the positions of the Royalist and Repubblicans fleets, enforcing a blockade around the CFLA coast.

The People's Republic of Appomatox is concerned by the outbreak of Civil War in Wine. As we are a young and weak nation, and since we share a border with Wine (well, if my request for #16 on the map is OK, we do), we are concerned that the political instability may cross the border into our nation.

As of now, we are staying neutral in this civil war.

                    To Noosland and Royalist(secret):
Our carriers are now in postion for launching a possible rescue mission for the King and Queen. We have 4 Hellocopters that we can use in this mission. Our plan is simply to strike during the guard shift changes. The key of course is speed and to dissorient the guards. Two copters will serve as the transport for the troops, about 24 in all. The other two helicopters will be attack hellicopters that are heavly armed and provide support for the men on the ground. We plan to pull this mission off with in 10 mins, before the local forces have a chance to respond to the attack. What we need of course to pull it off is plans for the prison and the extact local of the King and Queen. We would also like the support of both your nations. Of course this is not set in stone but merly a proposed rescue mission.

To Jackson and Royalist (Top Secret):

My suggestion is to intercept the buses when they are changing guards. Since the rotation is scheduled and follow a fixed route, we can do this easily. Then we can send in our own people masquarading as the guards, and attack from inside. A similar plan is to inflitrate Barbaresco to get into the guard forces, then attack from inside. A third plan is to somehow gain control of the military transports, sort of like a trojan horse type attack.

They can then leave by helicopters.

                        To: Noosland, Jackson
                        From: Royalist
                        (secret, as always)
We have thought of similar plans some times ago as well, however changing their 50 guards with 50 of our men is very risky, as it is absolutely not simple to infiltrate 50 men in the CFLA.
If we are going to act we need to do it with at least a 99% chance of success, as we can not risk the lives of the royals.

However, Noosland second plan give us a great idea: We may slowly infiltrate some of our men in Barbaresco, and make them join the Barbaresco Forces. By doing it gradually the CFLA won't suspect of us, while if we are to have 50 young men all join the CFLA at once it will be a bit strange.

Our RIAW Agents will go into Barbaresco, and take the place of some of the civilians living in the town, we know that there is a large number of people in Barbaresco that is against the CFLA regime, and we know the names of 484 of them, as they are all scheduled in the CFLA criminal records (which was transmitted to us by Agent 002).

Than those agents will join the CFLA Armed forces of Barbaresco. When we have 50 men infiltrated in their Armed Forces, we will enter their computer system, and make it so that all our men will be placed as guards in the Barbaresco Military Prison in the same turn.

Once the're in the prison, we will need to find a way to safely bring them home, with the Royals on their side, and this could be a problem, we all know that Barbaresco is in the inside, and for the helicopters to go there will means they will have to go through the CFLA AA systems, unless the helicopters may fly really high it will be a bit risky. But since our men will be in the prison, we won't have to fear for the lives of the royals, and in order to protect the Jackson Helicopters, we will escort them with 2 full wings of our Elite Fighter-Bombers Group.

                        Maybe this could work out.

We thank you for your decisive help, and please tell us if you have some other suggestions.

Although the issue still has yet to be properly resolved within the Centralis government, reports have continued to surface that the MSS has been providing arms, funds and training for the Wine Republican Army. However, the internal investigation ordered by the Executive Council has yet to turn up any evidence either way, and all involved officials have reiterated their previous statements.

One thing we can help is to conduct a surgical strike against Barbaresco as a diversion, to be coordinated with the rescue mission. The plan is to attack the HQ of CFLA Great Bishop Antonio Pizarro to knock it out, paralysing the control and disrupting communications. With the help of RAIW agents, we can seize control of the town temporarily, completely confusing CFLA's high command. Since it seems like the guards at the prison do not have any direct communication with CFLA HQ, if we knock out Barbaresco, they won't know what happened until the royals are safety on their way home.

Our men are in Barbaresco now, there are 5 small division of 9 soldiers, each division is lead by a RIAW Agent, exactly those agents are: Agent 001, Agent 004, Agent 005, Agent 012, Agent 022; Agent 001 is also the mission leader.

Once our men will be inside the prison compound, our joint forces will attack Barbaresco, while we have already agreed with the Repubblicans that they will attack the Saint Patrick Line, while we will do the same with the Saint George Line in the north, the CFLA forces will be too busy to care of what is going on in the prison compund.

We have ordered our men in Barbaresco to place a time bomb in the three buses that will go from the prison back to Barbaresco, that way we will eliminate them.
Than once they'll give us the signal, we send in the Jackson helicopters, which, with the protection of our fighter-bomber wings, will rescue the royals and our soldiers in the prison.

Tell me if it is ok, and if you are ready, than we may begin the operation. Although I have a request, when attacking Barbaresco be sure to limit as much as possible the collateral damage, there are Winians living in there.
