Dear Professor Diamond A couple of years ago a few of us decided to make a non-commercial, open-source computer game, loosely based on the popular [i]Civilization[/i] series, but more accurately reflecting the factors behind the rise and fall of civilizations. When we came across your book [i]Guns, Germs and Steel[/i], we found that it was exactly what we were trying to convey, and an excellent source of information for the game (which is still mainly in the planning stage). We were wondering whether we could call the game 'Guns, Germs and Steel: Tools of Conquest', or would you prefer we thought of something else? Thank you - list of (real) names of developers -
