Oke, I understand that. But if I change the % all to 1% and 1 of the sciences to 94%, then it don't really seem that the 'numbers' change equally. I would expect that the science that I gave 94% would develop much faster, but it don't.

Am I getting this wrong or is the algorith not working as it should?

The program displays the science names where it should display tech fields - the percentages affect sciences directly, and tech fields via sciences. I'll upload a fixed version to http://aniruddhnath.tripod.com/ggs/tech.exe

The webspace provider is down at the moment, I'll try to upload again later.

        Hey Nath,

You can attach it to your post here in this tread too. Then it will be stored at Apolyton servers...

Apolyton doesn't support executables, so I'm attaching it as a text file. Rename it from "tech_txt.txt" to "tech.exe" to make it runnable.

-As am I I haven't looked at this project in over a year.

I'm now taking a class taught in Scheme (blech!) It will be at least fall of next year before I start learning useful stuff. (When I take the evil class, but where I end up building a compiler and some such stuff)

Hey Victor! Glad to see you still know we're alive!

Sad that you wont be able to be of much help with the game.

But what do you say to taking part in a game of Diplomacy with us?

From what I know you are a quite experienced player, and we are all newbies. But still, playing with you could be fun. And we could learn some cruel tricks from you!

              What do you say?

I'm rapidly becomming overcommited to various things. I really have to make time to play some civ3 or EU2 one of these days.
