    Yes, it certainly seems so. I'm still hoping for a turnbased "empire mode" à la Shogun: Total War to surround it, but I admit that the way it is going now that seems unlikely. My big concern right now is the info revealed in the art diary.

    (a) There are "units". Not units with different traits, in different colours and that change according to what you do with them, heavens no. Standard units, like in whatever RTS you like. How are you supposed to have evolution in any sense of the word in the units are damnéd sprites? Curses!

    (b) There were hints that you will "pick" your evolutionary advances. Basically, we'll have a tech tree. That is not what I've come to expect from the hand of Sid Meier, who usually tries to do something at least moderately realistic.
