I don't want to start anything drastic. But notice the Rhamphorynchus was a 3D model?

Either it's for a movie cutscene. Or it's going to be part of the game. Did you know that Age of Empires, Kings, also did the same thing? If they're going to make this a Dinosaurs game in the same way as Age of Kings, (with the realistic landscape and all) then there is a proper arguement, over a RTS or a TBS.
Because I found playing a RTS on a CivII type map, well, stupid, it just plain doesn't work.

Anyway, if they ARE going to do it in the style of Age of Kings, then I WILL buy it!

Imagine steamy jungles, and all the other types of terrain!

Yup, I understand, but that's why I mentioned about the argument over a TBS or RTS.

They don't know which one to make it. Have you ever played CivII on RTS? It's really hard and stupid. So I thought that kinda throws CivII's interface away. (Which is also the same as CtP's, landscape wise, that is).
But if it was like Age of Kings, then there IS a valid arguement over an RTS or TBS

But wait. Did they say they didn't know whether to make it RT or TB at this point? Or are they speaking of past development issues as though they were the present for our benefit? That is, I think they are letting us in on their process ex post facto. And in a couple weeks they'll let on as to which won out -- real-time or turn-based.

what I got from the diaries is that some of the questions raised in the diaries have been answered and some not. still, they are not going to give all the answers they have immediately, they want to create dino-addicts, giving us small portions of info in set periods of time

Didn't they say that sid had already made a pre development model that was TBS. If this is the case it would seem to me that they would carry on with TBS.

That's not to even mention that Civ3 and SMAC are TBS, so it would make sense to carry it on.
