I think I'm joining Locutus and MKL at the very bottom end here:

IBM ThinkPad 770 (am I the only one playing this one a laptop?)
      Pentium 200 MMX
      64MB
      13.3 XGA TFT
      some 4MB 3d video chip
But with a whopping 18GB total HDD space (without battery)

Unfortunately it will be another full year before it gets replaced.

Best thing about it: it's free!!! My boss expects me to work on this thing

        just upgraded to a p3 933 with 256.
        a dvd drive
        a cd writeable
        an omega zip drive
        40gig
Didn't replace the printer or monitor, so it only cost 1,500.

My old one was a 233 with 64.
Can't believe just how much difference it make.
I used to walk away from the machine in between turns(later in the game), go outside have a smoke, come back and just catch the end of the turn change. Now it takes less than 8 seconds. Knew it would be faster, but not this much.

Combined with a cable modem has also sped up our civII mp games.

            PII 450
            128 MB Ram
            12 Gb HDD
            Voodoo5 5500
            Soundblaster 64
            DvD drive
            1.4 Gb "superdisk" floppy drive
            17" Svga Screen

I upgrade components on a 3 year rolling cycle. It's about time for the processor, memory and HDD to get some attention.

                slot-a 750mhz athlon oc'd to 850mhz, geforce ddr, 128mb of cas3 133 ram, 30gb ata66 hard drive

                1.2ghz tbird oc'd to 1.33ghz, geforce 2 ultra, 256mb ddr 2100 ram, 20gb ata100 hard drive

                700mhz p3 oc'd to 1.1ghz, geforce 2, 256mb of cas2 133 ram, 40gb ata66 hard drive

the first is mine/my parents and the next two are my brothers. i'm jealous of their machines. btw, if you are wondering why the specs are so good - it's because we play hardcore q1/q2/q3 and need mucho fps! hopefully i can upgrade soon...

I first tried playing on my PC which I will take lowest spot with:
                  P166!!!
                  96mbRAM (oold RAM)(upgraded from 64 for CTP2)
8mb Sparkle GCard (got for Falcon4)
uhgh! yuck at the start it wasn't too bad but later it took about two minutes a turn on gigantic map 8 players around 1750.I then gave up.

and installed on my fathers company Laptop
                  Dell Latitude CPx
                  pIII800
                  256mbRAM
                  32mbGCard

very happy results although a bit slow with 32 civs on a gigantic map later on in the game.
