Yeah, I've noticed the border doesn't change when the cities area of influence changes. So the border is four tiles away, and the city can grow to fill the border

So the manual isn't right in any place, the city influence max is four tiles, not three or five?

It is depending on the size. Artillery is medium. Cargo Helicopter can only carry small. For some strange reson a tank is small, probly a bugg..

i'm playing my first ctp2 game on a gigantic map with 8 civs.

i've taken over 60 cities and can't get anymore.

i'm trying to finish the game with the gaia controller but there's no way i can get 60% coverage because the map is gigantic and i can't build oblisks outside my borders.

what do i do now? wait till 2300, use eco ranger for bloodlust victory or restart?

Actually, you can give your cities Florida ballots to work with, then maybe they'll disband out of the sheer tedious work and confusion.

Building fortifications will move your borders out. Fortifications can be built outside your borders as well, as long as you have an army there. They give extra territory of a radius of two tiles.

                      I think it's something like:
                      ------545------------------------------------
                      -----54345-----------------------------------
                      ----5432345---------------------------------- ---543212345--------------------------------- ---432101234--------------------------------- ---543212345--------------------------------- ----5432345---------------------------------- -----54345----------------------------------- ------545------------------------------------

Thats probably wrong i remember 5 as only affecting 3 tiles each corner but there's definetly 5 and 5 only affects the corners
this is ****ed up because of the posting system thing try to figure it out

Go to Userprofile.txt and on the line that reads "number of civs" change that number to some number + barbarians. That is an "18" means 17 civs, including your own plus the barbarians.

If you want civs with revolutions to split into another civ and not become a barbarian city, then change "maxcivs" to some number higher than the "number of civs" value.

You might want to check other threads that report some problems when the number of civs exceeds 32.
