A suggestion... (to Loc and others)
I've noticed a few people saying they can only play the MP or SP tournament. Why not just keep running the SP tournament (a fourth one), but make the timing over a 2 or 3 month period, that way more people may be able to fit in both MP and SP.3am...! Can't be, I just started...!

Ahhh, my first Nuke!
Now the fat lady's singin'...

Even though 2 or 3 months would allow more people to play the tourny I think it's a bad idea. The tournaments are also responsible for bringing some life into these pages, but in 2 or 3 months the thread will probably die. Furthermore we'd have to wait for the ranking a rather long time.
If anybody needs more time he can always submit his game later for the unofficial ranking, can't he?

Exactly, mapfi. Not everyone participates in the MP tournament, what are the others going to do in the meantime? If I can help it, the SP Tournament feature will always be here, for many months (perhaps years - but you never know what the future will bring) to come. If a few people have to miss 1 or 2 editions, surely that can't be all *that* catastrophal... Especially not since they can always submit their savegames later, unofficially (I'm still playing the 2nd Tournament myself, which I missed due to PC problems).
Dread_Doomfist & Repistes,
Cool, thanks for playing
I will process the savegames later today...

Looks like we got a new specialist for high scores, Repistes. So Jesper, you're going to beat that?
Oh, so you're believing into CtP3 now too!Originally posted by Locutus

Still playing the second tournament? - might make me reconsider my decision not try.

Agreed. Once a month is a good time table. Plenty of time to finish the game, but if you can't play that particular tourney game for whatever reason, you don't have to wait forever for the next one to start.Originally posted by mapfi

Okay, savegames processed:
Repistes' game intrigues me: much less cities and pop than Martin, yet a significantly higher score. I can't quite pin down what gives him the edge...Code:Endyear ------- Rank Player Victory Type Year Points Cities Pop Advanc Wonders Feats Last Research --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 centrifuge Diplomatic 810 AD 6,370 16 111 21 1 2 Gunpowder 2 Maquiladora Diplomatic 970 AD 8,320 18 294 38 2 3 Industrial Revol 3 mnbryan37 Bloodlust 1290 AD 17,030 22 383 37 10 2 Economics 4 Locutus (1) Bloodlust 1505 AD 18,320 48 909 44 12 1 Oil Refining 5 mapfi Bloodlust 1550 AD 21,795 55 1204 58 17 6 Jet Propulsion 6 ETB Bloodlust 2181 AD 19,500 50 1217 59 13 2 Modern Medicine 7 TheArsenal Diplomatic 2218 AD 11,225 33 989 50 9 1 Mass Media 8 Shadow Diplomatic 2291 AD 20,535 40 978 78 14 8 Nano-Assembly 9 Repistes Bloodlust 2294 AD 30,445 43 1473 93 28 10 Cybernetics 10 Dread_Doomfist Bloodlust 2299 AD 27,190 40 1546 90 27 7 Ecotopia 11 Martin Gühmann Bloodlust 2300 AD 28,055 50 1961 91 25 9 Virtual Democracy Endscore -------- Rank Player Victory Type Points Year Cities Pop Advanc Wonders Feats Last Research --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Repistes Bloodlust 30,445 2294 AD 43 1473 93 28 10 Cybernetics 2 Martin Gühmann Bloodlust 28,055 2300 AD 50 1961 91 25 9 Virtual Democracy 3 Dread_Doomfist Bloodlust 27,190 2299 AD 40 1546 90 27 7 Ecotopia 4 mapfi Bloodlust 21,795 1550 AD 55 1204 58 17 6 Jet Propulsion 5 Shadow Diplomatic 20,535 2291 AD 40 978 78 14 8 Nano-Assembly 6 ETB Bloodlust 19,500 2181 AD 50 1217 59 13 2 Modern Medicine 7 Locutus (1) Bloodlust 18,320 1505 AD 48 909 44 12 1 Oil Refining 8 mnbryan37 Bloodlust 17,030 1290 AD 22 383 37 10 2 Economics 9 TheArsenal Diplomatic 11,225 2218 AD 33 989 50 9 1 Mass Media 10 Maquiladora Diplomatic 8,320 970 AD 18 294 38 2 3 Industrial Revol 11 centrifuge Diplomatic 6,370 810 AD 16 111 21 1 2 Gunpowder

Well hes got one more feat, 3 more wonders and 2 more advances there... and a faster end date. i dont know the scoring system back to front, i never held much to a high score, so i wouldnt know if those things would account for the extra points.
Have a look later perhaps, i often dont have time for a high points chase, maybe next time though.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)

After reading this curent standings I captured the last city for a test: over 30.000 points and it is 2069!
But I dont know if I can beat the hall of fame highscore ...
So long
