  • Turn Chat #18: 1360 BC - 1260 BC (Turn 132 - 137)

This is the turn thread of turn chat #18.

    Date of chat: Monday 2003/03/31
    Start of chat: 18:30 GMT
    Estimated duration: 2-3 hours
Place: #lemuria channel of Apolyton Chat Room.

    Instructions for entering chat room:

Java (note: untested, can't guarantee these instructions are flawless):
    a) Go to http://apolyton.net/misc/chat/room.shtml
    b) If you don't get any Java errors (the Java chat doesn't seem to work equally well on all PCs), fill in username and click connect.
    c) type '/join #lemuria' to join the Lemuria channel.

    mIRC:
    a) Download mIRC from http://www.mirc.com/get.html and install it (1,15 MB download)
    b) Open mIRC options (should open automatically when you start mIRC; if not, File -> Options), and in the Connect screen, click 'Add' to add a server. Fill in description (Apolyton), server (apolyton.net) and port (6667). Then press 'OK'.
    c) Fill in full name, email and nickname and press 'Connect to IRC Server' if Apolyton is selected as server (should be if you added it and didn't change it afterwards).
    d) A new screen will open and connect you to Apolyton. Once there, type '/join #lemuria' to join the Lemuria channel.

    Presence/Orders:
I await orders from the Ministers and confirmations of the presence of all Citizens. All Ministers need to be present, have appointed a delegate (who *is* present), or leave behind detailed orders, or the chat cannot take place.

    Domestic issues:

Q1 What shoudl we build in each of our cities in the next ~20 turns?

Q2 Under what circumstances should we use what kind of Specialists in which cities?

Q3 Should we invest in building Caravans yet? If so, under what circumstances and in what cities?

    Infrastructure issues:

Q4 How much of our PW reserve should be spent on the road network and which roads should be built first?

Q5 How much of our PW reserve should be spent on Farms/Mines/Trade posts and where should we build them?

    Diplomacy issues:

Q6 Should we actively pursue changes in relationships with any of the civs?

Q7 How should we respond to diplomatic requests and treaty violiations by the AI?

    Science issues:

Q8 What should we research now?

Q9 What should we research next?

    Military issues:

Q10 In what direction (roughly) should our explorers (Bait, Goodsight, Ösibuster) go?

Q11 What should we do with our Samurai?

Q12 Should we strife to attack Wien? If so, under what conditions?

Q13 What should we do with our offensive forces (6-stack, 7-stack, 12-stack) until/instead of/after attacking Wien?

Q14 Are movements of our defensive forces needed? If so, under what conditions?

To make it clear I hope it is 19:30 GMT and not 19:30 BST (British Summer Time) or 19:30 CET (Central European Time) or 19:30 CEST (Central European Summer Time).

Well that is for the time. Unfortunatly I am not able to attend as I have in the next two weeks to attend in university for a java course. And there it is not a good idea to go to bed lately.

And what does it make for us, here in Lemuria?

Q8: As the majority decided for HR, please change accordingly.
                      Q9: Monarchy or GEO

                      Q6: No
Q7: keep all, Austrian war will continue.

Q3: I would like to see 4 Caravans produced, for the two most provitable trade routes, to be done within our empire.

If noone else shows up, there ain't gonna be a chat today...
