The Phonician republic is in danger.

Several cells of agitators - calling themselfes communists - has been traced down.

Others from universities round the nations claim for more democracy - but we have republic, and that's more that enough!

Even in my capitol, peoply goes in the streets, demanding a shorter workday. Agree, its high but my workers are well-paid.

One disgusting person has claimed my head on a spike - but he's not more on this earth.

My intention is to get this nation up among the three greatest on the world and no one - specially not one from my own nation - will be allowed to stop this.

In a mixed task, a phonician diplomat and a settler landed on the shores of a new island. Just to find the best lands occupied by the Spanish.

Our diplomat had his task changed - find out what the land behind the spanish cities consist of. The settler backed off - we do not want to offend the spanish bull by settle right outside their territory.

Dmocratic, republic and the so called communists are now fighting in the streets with sticks and stones. There's no civil war or anachy - not yet. But I'm prepared for that too.

Rumours abound that Phonecians goverment is in turmoil. We hope they realize that communism is reported to be a harsh goverment for its people. We will be watching the situation closely and hopes that the transistion is a smooth one.

After messages flying back and forth the Egyptian and Canadian goverment have come to an agreement over a parcel of land on our borders. We notice that land is getting scarce in some parts of the world we hope this doesn't cause any conflicts.

Several Phoenician communist agitators have been arrested in the city of Cairo. They say that their plans for overthrowing the Phoenician government have been hampered by democratic parties which they claim are supported by Egyptian undercover agents !
Egyptian authorities of course deny all knowledge of such actions.
When asked to the Egyptian's head of state, Maestro's first words were simply: 'No comment'.
On insisting, he assured the press that all this will have no influence on the stability of the Egyptian government.

Obviously taking advance of the temporary phonician weakness, spanish has send a diplomat demanding - I say demanding! - me to submit knowledge of communism.

I send him away - gave him the advice to seek Hasdrubal, as he knows more to that than I.

Seems like this traitor really are ready to spread this evil knowledge to the spanish - against some sort of repayment.

Panic arose in the city of **** (censored) as the news spread that their globesat will not be finished on time. What worsens the situation is that our Spanish embassy completely failed to inform us that the Spanish are working on the globesat project. Some people asked to switch production (internet) to save the hard work already put into the project.

Seriously, I know the Spanish don't like the internet, but they don't seem to put many restrictions on what they are building themselves. Sine I entered this game, I haven't heard a single word from them. I think it is time they break with this tradition.


To the others: sorry for the delay. I just felt that I needed more time than the 10 minutes I had before going to work to play this turn. I will play when I get home, with or without Spanish feedback.

Internal affairs has delayed this message with at least 12 hours.

A spy - hopefull still reliable - has for some times walked around some spanish cities. Anarchy rages the spanish cities, he has informed me.

Seems like the knowledge, the spanish wanted so much, that they demanded it, has spread to their nation. Maybe faster than wanted.

On a secret place, a ship is prepared to take my son out - hopeful before the real anarchy also reachs us.

He might take over the governmnet of the phonicians at a later stage - if the nation still exist then.

The Response of the Spanish Government to the World:

While internal affairs of Spain should be of no concern to the rest of the world, I will report unsettling times have come upon the people of Greater Spain. Many years under a democratic system of government has produced an environment that breeds political parties by the scores. All which believe they must be heard. The shear number of political voices has caused a din that has nearly paralyzed the Assembly of State. Alliances are formed and dissolved almost on an issue by issue basis. Only the perseverance of the bureaucratic machine has insured the day to day continuance of order for the citizens of Spain. Yet all major issues have become the football in the game of Spanish politics.

The Phoenician leader has mentioned the sudden change from the Agency project to the GlobeSat project. Again the politics of alliance has been at work. The Minister of Armed Forces brought together the Ultra-nationalist and the Greens, along with a number of pro-military minor parties, to change the project in mid-stream. This does not bode well for the conservative Republicans or the isolationist Communist, who wanted the defensive guarantees of the Agency.

The only thing I can say to the rest of the World is; this cannot last. Soon one party will emerge as dominant. But which one will it be? Could the Fundamentalist hold sway and bring coverts to the flock? Or, will the Greens emerge to put planet before production? Maybe the Communist will rise up to create a workers paradise? Or, will the Ultra-nationalist reign supreme and bring about their “New World Order”? Only time will tell.
