  • Yes Peter is still alive and living in the monastary. He is very old and feeble and his health is slowly declining. Yet he is an inspiration to all the young monks and he blesses them daily with his words of wisdom.

Young Hamilcar is taking shelter in this ancient monastary. The monks are taking care of him by providing food and clothing. He tells them that someday he hopes to return home and bring peace and happiness to his troubled people.

Phoenician warships and troops has crossed the borders to the spaniads.

      • Communique fra The Phoenician HQ:

1 hour ago, a combined attack from the 1st and 2nd flotille and the 1st tank bataljon has taken the spanish city of Menorca.

As the spanish has placed artillery and other fortification in different places of the city among others places just outside the marketplace, the phoenician bombardment has killed aswell innocent spanish citizens as etnic phoenicians, living and working like slaves under the spanish rule.

10 minutes later, the phoenician airforce made an successfull attack on the military installations at Pamplona. The reinforced 2.nd tank bataljon followed and took Pamplona without fight.

        Why have I ordered this?

Going back in history, the spanish has more than one time showed to be an aggresive nation. They forced the famous Lynx to accept spanish domination over the southwest of the Phoenian island and more that once, they has made demands rather than exchanges.

Thousands of etnic phoenicians lives in shelters and with no or only little to eat. Only thing they are offered are hard work - much hard work - in spanish factories and mines - this can only be compared to slavery though this should not be any more.

Even children from mixed relationsships are not accepted on spanish schools. They are not allowed to move without permission, they must not act as merchants.

So I'm told - and that I believe.

Therefore THE TROMPETS OF WAR SOUNDS THOUGHOUT PHOENICIA.

Shame will come to the head of Hasdubal. I know for sure, that the dictator Hasdrubal will bring sorrow to your homes. He wants war and that has always been so.
A statement that bears much truth. Perhaps Hasdubal's advisors forgot to tell him the Spanish have a terrible weapon which can decimate a city in a single attack? You best beg for peace and offer up some gold, lest you find some incinerated cities along your coasts.

ANSWER TO WHO? EL CID?! THE KNIGHT? THE PAGE OF SOMEONE?

Well - someone responsible - if any - read this:

Hamilcar is a cowart - just as his father was. Lynx was forced to do, what he did. And that I will revenge.

I'm not a dog, o whom you can say: Go back, sit, get stick, play dead!

I can handle whatever you serve.

A scientific experiment failed - many peoples life was lost. But the effect was tremendelos. But scientifics has been ordered to continue or loose their lifes. Now or later.

Leave the Holy Phoenician Island or die!

            • Comrade Mao is sitting at his desk, staring at a piece of paper in his hands.
It has two signatures: one of old leader Maestro, one of Hannibal.
None of these people are still alive.

Before him is standing a Spanish emissary, pleading for a peace treaty between the Spanish and the Egyptians.

After long thought, he makes up his mind.

'A peace treaty with the Spanish right now would be hypocritical. We must respect old alliances. However, since I also agree that this Hasdrubal is far too war-like, I will not attack any cities myself. I will only (try to) prevent the Spanish from sending reinforcements to the disputed area.
Any conflicts anywhere else will not be acceptable.'

              • Hamilcar gave this message to the Monks who passed it on to Canadian authorities.

                It reads:

I plead to the people of Phoenicia to be patient, to be strong in this time of turmoil. Understand that Hasdrubal cannot last, his reign will soon come to an end. When this happens then I will lead you to peace and understanding. Harmony and love will replace death and destruction. Look deep into your souls and find the strength to endure his evil ways. We will get past this.

                In other news:

Canadian Scientist's warned that coupled with the chemical explosion in Egypt. The Spanish/Phoenician situation could lead to high levels of pollution in the atmosphere. Scientist's say that if nuclear weapons are released in this conflict, the effects on our world could be catastrophic.

The Spanish Air Force has sunk a Phonecian fleet off the Spanish main island. Submarines, loaded with what unconfirmed sources say is the "Wrath of El Cid", have left the port cities of Madrid and Leon. The Foreign Minister applauded the sensibility of the German and Canadian governments, for not supporting the aggressor. As for the choice of the Chairman of Egypt to give tacit approval, if not active support, to the Phonecian invaders, the Minister gave no comment. Rumours circulating as to a plan to foster a counter-revolution in Egypt were dismissed as just that, rumours.

                  • Turn to Maestro.

                    Nothing new from the front.

Phoenician soldiers are resting - though well trained, this first battles has made them tired.

The counterattack from the Spanish - and the fact that this is actually the first real war in centuries - has scared several. Moral and will to fight must be restored. The reinforcements - ready in a short while - will no doubt help a lot.

War will go on until the Holy Phoenican Island has been liberated from Spanish domination.

                      • Two Spanish victories have been won. The Minister of Armed Forces has commented on the equipement of some of the Phonecian encountered. It appears much of the Phonecian equipement is antiquated. The 3rd Marine Battalion overran a unit which was armed with swords. UB-101 torpedoed a ship the commander discribed as a "museum piece". If this is all the Phonecians have, this war will not last much longer.

                        • Phoenician HQ.

A new succesful strike has been made towards the arrogant spaniads.

It's true, they fought down some troops, armed with swords. Those were entertainers, going towards Sevilla, where a great tattoo are to be held, when the Holy Phoenician Island has been liberated.

The spanish troop at Ibiza can tell El Cid, that the phoenician military has teeths. After a combined attack from sea, then air and finally land, the city now acknowledge Hasdrubal as ruler. No spaniard soldiers escaped the wrath of the Carthage elite troops.

The Holy Phoenician Island has now been liberated.

Our people are free. Only minimal losses has been suffered in the last battle of Sevilla.

The Great Comrade Hasdrubal hereby ordered the phoenican military to an immidiate cease-fire.

It is now upto the spaniads. Shall the war continue or shall we live in peace as before. Any counterattacks from the spanish will be taken as a sign of war. A visit from a diplomat or electronic proposals for a peace will show the way to that.

                              Comrade Hasdrubal.
