The Romans military leader has taken over. Shavlor has tried to pull him from office but with no luck, he has complete power. His first move was to mass an army and declare war on the Welsh. He is seeking aid from any of his neighbors, saying "We have lived in the shadow of the mighty Demosthenes for far too long. We must put an end to this and trip and kill this mighty gaint."
Many Romans cheered as he made this great speech and many flocked to him seeking to help him in his just and noble cause.
The question remains will other nations trend like sheep under Demos or will they take up arms against this great tyrant. Only time knows the answer to this great question and only time will reveil it. The Republic states that men must do what their heart calls them to do, which in this case is as clear as black and white.
I have been anticipating a move of this kind, and my intelligence resources had already informed me that if any nation was to attack the peaceful Welsh, it would be the insidious Romans. Afterall, they did start a pathetic war with us before.
To all the reasonable leaders out there who are not ruled by their testosterone, have I caused you offence? I don't believe so. Have I been generous? I have tried where possible. Have I tried to be an ammicable neighbour? I have done my utmost.
If you wish to join Shavlor in his unprovoked attack on the Welsh, then do so.
But forgiveness will not be shortcoming. And I am definitely one to hold a grudge.
yeah, okay. I'll send my crappy army in Demos' direction, and in about 500 years they'll throw some rocks at his walls. Shav, only time will tell if any of my troops commit treason and follow your cause
I am afraid I must concur with lung, a decision over military action against the romans must be considered very carefully. How can you make it worth our time ?

Turn 83 ==> Sophix Sorry about the delay, I've had modem problems.
Quote: "Sensible Welsh, we Romans demand that you deliver the contribution of 10,000 gold to insure the security and prosperity for both our nations." - Shavlor.
Oh no! What will we do? This is what we will do Shavlor. Every nation except the Romans has recieved a gift from the Welsh this turn. This is to show that we are not in the business of violence, and value our peaceful neighbours.
Those who preach war against us, without provocation, and without the balls to actually start a conflict, are no friends of mine. It has, if anything, guilded my resolve to peaceful relations with the world (with the exception of the Romans). I do not intend to commit to war with you Shavlor, but by the time you have brought a force to face my cities, we will be more than prepared, believe me.
The great military leader if the Romans has managed an attack on the great Welsh city of Becron and successfully managed to take it if minium lostes. The military leader upon finding the almost finished wonder has dicided to finish it. The serfs of the city of Becron flocked to the great leader and joined in on the excution of the Tyrants mayor. The great leader now realizes the cowardliness of his neighboring nations. For he has no true large military but instead have something for deeper, the desire to fling for them the great oppression caused by the great Tyrant. The great leader informs all other nation that they must act or else this large gaint will smother you all. For unless it is throw down, you will have now cance of passing it. The great leader declares this a great holiday in name of noble and just retrobution.
" To state that there is not support for the Roman ideas in Egypt, would be false " Stated Rama Shu, Egypts chief astrologer, "But to think that it is the way of Mat, for Egypt to join in the attack, would be just as false."
Other leaders echoed this belief. General Humatatin, said, "Although I admire Roman courage, it would be impossible for Egypt to launch an offensive at this time, our army despite it's large size is comprised of defensive units."
The Arch Priest of Ra, probably summed up the thoughts of Egypt best when he stated, "This war is the way of Mat as at very least it will strengthen the position of Egypt, but the Lord of the Nile (Sophix) knows the workings of the universe to well to commit his troops to it."
Mat == The way of the universe, without which the universe would collapse upon itself.
Recent reports of the Romans annexing Brecon have today been confirmed. The Welsh leader Demosthenes is said to be devasted that the Romans have stooped to this level.
In a public statement Demosthenes accepted full responsibility for the loss of Brecon, noting that his provocation and calling of the Roman bluff was perhaps not the wisest of his decisions.
Demosthenes also announced to the people of Wales that he has called a referendum on his leadership of the nation.
"I feel that I have let this great nation down. I want the people to decide whether I should continue as their leader, and what course of action should be taken."
In a diplomatic plea to neighbouring countries, the Welsh Foreign Secretary called for a public denunciation of the Romans by other leaders, and a general call to arms for all those who share a the dream of peace. Despite opposition calls of hypocracy, the Foreign Secretary claimed that the ends justified the means.
