        • Papal Ennounciation

The Holy Father is deeply confused by the Mayan statement. How are his children to reach him if they are to be denied the right to traverse his territory? It will take longer but, His Holiness will despatch a seperate envoy from the one destined for Canada so as to avoid out-staying his welcome. However does the noble Mayan leader's statement also mean that a mere Irish transport ship would be unwelcome in Mayan territorial waters?

Let the noble Slamp know that we simply seek to spread friendship and love throughout the World and our envoys are just diplomats and neither spies or agitators.

If it would please the noble Slamp we will sign a temporary alliance with his people and transport one of his diplomats back to the home of the Godfearing to allow him to establish an embassy with us and thence travel the short distance to England, should they allow entry, and even unto the lands of the fabled Frazer and his fearless Viking warriors.

We are very aware of situation which Ireland tries to create. They want in the name of peace, build the world on their laws, without National Souvernity and indepedience. This hidden imperialistic Policy is very dangerous. The Mayan Goverment has the fully rights to reject the proposition of moving across the country from foreign diplomats because naturally foreign diplomats will be collecting an information about Mayan Cities which could be secret.

The Slav Confederate goverment will rethink the proposition of Irish Dipolmats which wants to enter to our territory. It is very probable that Irish diplomats will have to enter to the closest our city, estabilish embassy and go away. All the way will be under control of our Delegation or Mobile Cavalry Unit from Slav National Forces.

            • Official Statement of the Holy Irish Empire

The Holy Father has instructed me to issue the following responce to Luk Castle of the Slavs.

Mr Castle would do well to note that the HIE has enjoyed cordial relations with the Mayans from Turn 0. We have had firmly established borders with the Mayans for many turns which were established without any of the harsh words and threats used by Slavia in it's dealings with all of it's neighbours. Merely because our borders with all of our neighbours were settled without any tension or ill-will arising may have meant that their successful negotiation did not merit the front page of the Dutcheese Reporter. However, the fact is that we have made no demands of our neighbours and have no territorial ambitions against them. Our armed forces have been on 'at peace' status from Turn 0 and remain so.

Mr Castle would do well to ask of the English, Viking and German Governments as to the way in which our Envoy travelled the entire length of a Continent without incident! This should be proof enough of our peaceful intent. If these great nations are able to trust our good faith why do the Slavs pretend to doubt us?

Regardless of the unreasoned hostility of Mr Castle we can assure him that Slavic envoys will not be treated harshly upon arrival in Dublin. We would however appreciate it if he restricted his comments on Irish diplomatic policy to those issues which actually directly impacted upon Slavia and refrained from attempting to sour our otherwise friendly relations with other nations.

Yes, diplomats are welcome to establish an embassy but only at the closest city and couldn't travel accross Mayan country.

                  --------------------------------------------------------
Norwich crisis ended after agree from English Prime Minister to Slav-Mayan proposition. "It is temporary treaty, and I think in 50 turns both sides should meet together and estabilish more reasonable agreement" - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs. "It is a big win of peace, and big win of all people of the World. The nationalistic policy of Grigorij Jawlinski stopped after strong reaction of international opinion" - said the leader of opposition. "We will not accept this tratorious policy of this goverment, Norwich is Slav" - said leader of Nationalistic Coalition.

                  ---------------------------------------------------------
It is very probable that The Govemrent is disscusing about the INC. It is very probable that Slav Goverment will not be treating the INC as the real INC but as the coalition of group of countries which are using the name of INC without any law to it. We will see to it...

Sophanthro won the election today in a landslide victory. He recieved unamious support from all parties, except the Nobility party, and the recently formed Communist party. Most of the cabinent who served under him as king, will be retained.

President Sophanthro held a press conference today to discuss the future of England and world. He replied the future of England is brighter then ever, in fact the only downpoint he found with the direction of world, was the fact that the SFU still considers England to be hostile. " Emotions and tensions were heightened during the Norwich crisis, but we hope that with the settlement, England and the SFU could establish cordial relations. "

                        • Personal Message to Mr Castle.

Be assured that neither the Government or people of Ireland have been 'against you from the beginning'! We view the Slavs as friends and will comply with any reasonable terms for the establishment of an Embassey. It is impossible for us to give an exact time for the visit of our emissary as we will now be travelling up your eastern seaboard due to Mayan objections about traversing their territory.

Be aware that if we had any hostile intent you would have been visited by Clerics long ago and had you any technology that we would rather steal than trade a Spy rather than a Diplomat would have been despatched. We already know your current state of technology and the location, and size, of most of your Cities through information provided by our allies.

We set no conditions upon the visit of Slavic envoys to Ireland but simply trust in their good faith. If you claim that your Foreign Office regards relations with Ireland as 'cordial' then we suggest that you demonstrate this. Threats of expulsion do nothing to improve international goodwill and for the originator of the idea of the INC to decide to boycott it is sad indeed.

                          • I have not seen the turn in my inbox yet. For the past hour, my mail server has been pretty much down. When this happens, it has only been for a few hours at a time. I expect the turn to show up before the day ends. If it does not, I'll mail Klair and post here.

I've also wrote the latest edition of the Dutcheese Reporter. It should be uploaded in about 45 minutes.
