Yes, but it would be so much better if we could just download one file everyday, make our move, then upload that one file, and have the hostgame tally all the different moves for us.

This might make some combat awkward, but what the hell? it's alot better than the alternative.

how would diplomacy work in hotseat style PBEM ?

Diplomacy in a PBEM Game is most often done by Email. All players are given the Email address of every Clan in the game at the start. So if you are the Brazilians and I run into you on turn three I can contact you directly to negotiate an alliance or warn you to keep your distance. I suppose if we teamed up the best thing to do next would be to establish an embassy right away so we could trade tech through the game mechanics.
In Alpha Centauri there is no need to do this. You may trade tech without any special advance or activity.

Whats going on? Is there a gaming going or are people still looking? An e-mail game sounds ok. Someone email me if you need another person.

How do you make it possible for a 32 player game? Is it only possible with hotseat play?

It doesn't look like PBeM will be available for a while, according to today's interview. From the way they said it, it didn't seem certain at all.

                We must press the Activision
The 32 player email game is the most realistic game I ever play.
                Russia is mine

Nope, you don't have it. Nobody does, but alot of people wish they did, me included. Rumor is that Activision will include it and Hotseat in with the Second patch, which they've just started to evaulate.

When the PBEM patch does come in add my name to the list, I'm interesting in one turn a day game, 6 days a week, more the merrier game. Hmm that sounded like an ISO, so no fat chicks, sorry that was rude!
