Nope, I'm afraid not. As blackice pointed out, it's the oldest trick in the book. SLIC is extremely powerful, which is good for making mods and scenarios, but it also makes cheating in MP extremely simple for those who know how to use it. I could easily write a cheat that gives me (and only me, not the other players) as much gold/units/cities/PW/science points/etc as I need every turn (I can even make it so that I can determine during the turn how much I want, it doesn't have to be a fixed amount: I can make a dialog of message boxes pop up in which I make decisions). Heck, I could instantly take over one or all cities of my opponents or even instantly declare myself winner, but I guess that would be a bit obvious

Ordinarilly SLIC is a great tool, it has saved the SP game from extinction (especially in the case of CtP2, but it was important for the CtP1 mods as well), but unfortunately it's impossible to prevent the use of it in MP As pointed out, the use of moderators and savegames and such can stop pretty much all of the cheating, that's the only way to ensure fair play in a game like CtP...

Let me explain something to you..... I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. - The Big Lebowski(1998)
