...It was an army I heard, chaotic in their approach for sure no discipline, natives? I rushed to the nearest brush, I knew I had the advantage. I was alone and silent against the psoriatic pounding and consistent clanging of metal that echoed from this horde deep into the forest.
I watched from my dense, makeshift treed fortification as I imagined it. The clothing was familiar; it was Canadian made that was a beaver boot.
I pushed aside slowly the branches, the only real protection I had. My mind still wheeling and my vision still impaired I could see faces. Faces I remember could I be dead? Is this death, as we know it?
My mind began to swirl and clouds of darkness became too much to control.
