  • Assuming the player listing is the same as the turn order, which appears to be the case, then from the power graph player listing I conclude th following:

    David42one --> Roman
    Aganon --> American
    Ricketyclik --> Scottish
    J Bytheway --> Irish
    Flameflash --> English

    Then again, I could be mistaken

        We need to know who to taunt on the board once things start heating up.

        (Please don't pick on me during the game. I'm very sensitive.)

        • I was just reading in another part of the forum about some kind of switching in your build window being considered cheating.

          Does this mean that if I am building an aquaduct and have it almost built, and then realize I should be building a settler and switch I am cheating.

          I do not want to cheat, but being new to CTP I often rethink a choice I have made and end up making corrections in mid build.

          • The switching they're referring to is "ramping up", where you successively change to improvements with only a small amount of production to go, rush buy the remainder, change to a bigger one, rush buy again, etc, all in one turn. The reason this is done is because the last stages of production are the cheapest to rush buy. This practice is regarded as cheating.

            What you are describing is - in my opinion - a legitimate change of priority during production, which I wouldn't regard as cheating. But don't you sacrifice half of your stored production by changing from an improvement to a unit? Better to finish off the improvement I would have thought, unless you're only early on in production.

            • There are different kinds of switching cheats, but basically, a general rule to follow to know that you're not doing any of these switching cheats is: If you rush buy something then you must build that same thing. Never switch production after rush buys. You can switch production at other times freely - that's not considered cheating.

              • Hey all. Does anybody know who has the turn?

                • It appears I was the last person to send the turn to FlameFlash - but he's just had a baby (well, his wife has... ) so he said he might be delayed. I'll send the turn to Gav, and let him deal with it.

                    I don't know about you, but I'm starting to question FlameFlash's committment to ctp. It's just a baby, after all...
