Wow, you just think the conversation is a friendly banter and discussion of how the ratings are supposed to be seen and maybe possible to be improved... then... bang...
Quinns quits. Hey, why? I really think the system is good - not perfect, because it cannot be, but the best system you can think up using Call to Power!
Hmmm... at least you inspired me to go into CTP:PBEM'ing. I just decided to do so when I noticed there was a rating system and a real community for PBEM'ing. I wouldn't have when I wouldn't have seen your rating system.
Away from the internet, I'm a judge in the Magic: The Gathering tournament structure, so I know a bit about volunteer work and stuff as well. And what I noticed there holds true here as well:
You always get the negative comments!
Even if 90% of the players/participants in what you volunteer for are satisfied, and most of them even happy, you only hear the 2% who hate what you do.
So, if you have any inclination to reconsider this, I'm giving you a reason here:
I appreciate your work.

You know what? You are all right. What am I doing wasting my time keeping track of all this? What's the point? Forget about it. I'm serious. Nothing personal everyone, but all I get is grief for this running this system -- even from the rated players that are doing well. So, if anybody wants to take over running this system, feel free to do so. I am finished with my contribution.

All of the the data and formulas exists in the above reports. I've done this for too long. I thought it would inspire people to enjoy the game more. Man, was I wrong.
