      Turn 110 to Saddam.

Truly there is place for 12-14 settlements on australia - maybe more if we also tries to colonize parts of the desert (one "s" this time).

The zulu alone has mapped all of this island, and we can say for sure, that 6-8 of those places are most valueable. Of this 6-8, the americans claims 4 of the richest areas without having done anything to discover this island.

The zulu nation has costed much efforts in building roads on that island and two long transcontinental roads was already more than halfway through the island, when the americans first landed.

Because of this, the zulu nation still claims the right to settle whereever we wants - with due respect to exsisting cities.

"The Americans had heard about Australia and New Zealand long ago from old legends. It had been decided to constract ships when the technology would permit it and send explorers among settlers to explore and settle that lands. It seems that the Zulus had decided the same thing long ago also.

We thank you for having explored those lands before us and handed over your fruits of exporation. That is the reason we beleive that most of its part belongs to you and we shall happilly accept your dominance over those lands.

However within our long-term plans were and are to establish up to four cities strictly to the east. I had informed you about my interest to settle Australia long ago and you had agreed that I should settle the east part of Australia. Having that in mind a sum of gold and production had been spent to colonize and support our attempt in Australia.

I am aware of the richeness of these lands and maybe you should have them but they are close to New Zealand and Tasmania and closer to North America than the west part is. It is more logical for me to colonize the east part wich is closer to our metropolitan centers and for you to colonize the west part which is closer to your metropolitan centers. Besides the west part has some rich spots also and if it was full of them I wouldn't claim an inch of them!

But considering you a friend of my nation I wish to help you the best way I can by undertaking the commitment to terraform with my expences a great part of central Australia with grasslands, forrests and hills and construct farms and mines for your settlements.

I hope you find my words reasonable as I only wish for your friendship."

Saddamoto asks if you two can keep your voices down. Australia has enough room for both of you and Saddamoto is convinced that a peaceful deal can be struck about the placement of settlements....

We kindly ask Chairman Swissy to withdraw an aging Phalanx from japanese lands. He is blocking the route of a cavalry unit.... Remember Swissy, As leader of Japan, the first thing I did was withdraw from 'disputed' Assyrian-Japanese border zones (Zones that are still, very confusing and disputed among our workers). We ask that you kindly give us that same courtesy...

The news that the Zulus and the Americans are locked in heated debate over the division of Australia saddens our High Priest greatly. He expressed great concern over this, and prayed that his friends would recognize this as nothing more than a petty dispute.
"There may be small disagreements, but we should never loose sight of the greater goal."

            ----------------------------------

Our Esteemed Friend, Chairman Swissy of the Assyrians,

We once again request you to reply to us about your opinion on the project to create a listening post near our border. We have taken great care to take into account your nations concerns. However, if we do not get any response from you we will assume that this matter is of no consequence to you (hence you have not replied) and will proceed with the construction of the listening posts. Please advise us so that we may send your objection (if any) to Berlin ASAP.

            Wolfgang Reichenbach,
            German Ambassador to Assyria.

Turn 111 to The Bird Man

In reponse to current events, Chairman Swissy has released the following:

The Assyrian Peoples' Republic does not see the necessity of buildinglistening posts on it's borders. As far as to whether others do so is not of our concern. It is your land, you may build on it as you wish.

As to the quarrals of the Americans nad Zulus, we find it most amusing that either would try to settle such a distant land. Already we see how tenuous the lines of communication are between the Zulu Homeland and their colonies.

This sounds more like a demand than a request. I was considering replacing the unit with something more up-to-date. More mobile with automatic weapons

Well Swissy, if you are getting arrogant, i must remind you....Japan is a peaceful nation and has strong bonds with every nation on earth ..Nations that put all of Assyria to shame!

(no that was not just a threat, rather it was a defensive boast)

If you will go back and read the first page, you will see that I have nicely asked you ! I also reminded you that as leader of Japan, I pulled back many offending units on the borders.

As for machine gunners, Japanese scientists will soon unviel these storm troopers dressed in white with rapid-fire guns never before seen in all of Japan! Aswell as updated cannon.

Worry not my dear Japanese Brothers. We have a couple of spare Divisions of Leviathans sitting around in northern Siberia, we will dispatch them to your land immediately.

Chairman Swissy, move those ancient troops from the way of our Japanese friends or we shall turn your entire empire into a heap of flaming rubble

We dont even need the our Leviathans and space bombers to take care of your puny civ... a battalion of our lowly warriors should be enough

BTW, the about stuff is NOT serious swissy, dont worry I dont have leviathans yet.

Turn to Saddam an hour ago.

3 new zulu settlements has been established, whereof two on the new island Australia.

We have partly recognised the american wishes and have settled in the southeastern part at the end of our road.

Thank you swissy, rest assured, Japan will not hesistate to listen to any Assyrian complaints about japanese conducts or troop deployments..

Japan is a peaceful nation and only wishes to further peace. We have no desire for war or any other savage acts. Therefor we hope that Zulu and Australia will reach a settlement about the wealthy Aussie homeland

Japanese officials also have a proposal. To set up international union of all nations, discussing matters of disputed land and/or conflicts. Are there any objections to a 'League of Nations' to help further(and keep) the cause of peace?

"Not a bad idea Chairman Saddamoto. I propose to create the United Nations instead and extend their appositenesses to any international activity like equality between nations, global pollution, international trade, international waters, borders, etc.

My people will work hard to present you with an acceptable chart to be signed up from all the nations of the world. The United Nations Chart."

                                Turn to America
                                ----------------------

Lord Thor today announced that he had held several meetings with Karl Marx, the leader of the communist movement in Germany. The main purpose of the meetings was to allow Marx to explain the workings of the communist ideology to the King.

The meetings went very well, and Lord Thor was convinced that the principles of communism were quite sane and workable. Also the system of government that Mr. Marx proposed was significantly more sophisticated and efficient as compared to the blind religious faith in the King.

Lord thor, placed Karl Marx as chairman of the transition commitee and gave him complete authority so that he may implement his ideas and bring about the reforms necessary to change the government system and mordernize the administration system.

Effective today, The German Empire, has adopted the communist ideals. Lord Thor, shall retain his status as the German Emperor, but will also be Chairman of the German Republic.

                                ----

While announcing his government reforms, Lord Thor also touched on the subject of the United Nations, that has been proposed by other world leaders,

"The idea of a United Nations sounds very intriguing at first glance, but I will not commit Germany's fate to foreigners. I have never placed the needs of the world, before the needs of my people, yet I have maintained the peace, brought about prosperity in my country, and gifted enormous tracts of land to my neighbors."
"Besides the fact that Germany does not need a United Nations, I ask of you, What purpose will this organization serve? What power will it have? How will it enforce its will on others? All the nations will unite against an 'agressor' nation? Sure, that would be great, but Do we even need to bring about this organization for this purpose? Is it not the responisbility of all countries to maintain peace regardless of whether there exists an umbrella organization that dictates action?"
"Having said all that, I will only do what is best for the German people. At the moment, I feel that joining the UN would be a pointless excercise, and a waste of resources for an organization that is powerless."
                                King Thor
