  • Turn 41 --> joao paulo

    The Times reports that the English Foreign Office is in a state of confusion. Unofficial Roman envoys have broadcast to the world that they wish to usher in a spirit of co-operation with the English, but official diplomatic sources advise that the Romans have a permanent alliance treaty with the Brazilians who so recently waged unprovoked war on the glorious English army, now held as martyrs by the population. The Times social correspondent believes that an exchange of maps and a visit by a Roman diplomat would allow the English to establish the extent of the Roman/Brazilian alliance, and help improve the trust between the nations.

      As we have said many times before, the Brazilian nation desires no war. In an effort to prove our worth, my advisors and I have decided to share our maps with the English nation

      • It would appear for now the tides of war have slowed.
        As the Americans, Brazilians and English can see my troops remain in their cities and not a threat to any nation never was.

        I am glad to see we all have ample breeding grounds and can expand without the need to impose on our neighbors.

        The english have a clear line for a border between them and the Brazilians.

        We have accepted the exchange of maps in hopes also that peace can be the word for at least a few years to come.

        We will be sending diplomats to all nations with party plans

        This though would take the co-operation of the Brazilian government and we ask here in the international forum, for the right of passage for our diplomats through there lands?

        Turn sent.

                Then the Brazilians should not start a war Turn 42 --> joao paulo

                The English graciously accepts the Brazilian maps, and humbly requests that the Brazilians should permit foreign diplomats to pass through their lands unmolested and without charges for visas.

                The Times reports that the nations of the world have been invited to the Olympic Games in London, following the construction of a new stadium. This boost to the English morale has improved their happiness and productivity. However, War discontent still remains.

                To compensate for this discontent a reduction in "food tax" has been legislated, with the people now allowed larger rations. The Times social correspondent predicts that once the people have more places of worship and finance in their cities, the government will seek to recover the cost of these improvements by once again raising the food tax. Our correspondent claims that this necessary because giving people more food reduces the rate of population growth
