    Turn to Don.

I have 128Mb so it should not be a memory based problem.

It's been over a year since I played SP but I cannot remember getting this kind of trouble with similar sized three dimensional Empires before.

Well I don't know what it could be, all I know this game is just one big awkward and clunky pile of crap. I have run across so many glitches its not funny.

The more junk you get on the screen the worse things get. The Civ 2 freaks just hate this game with a passion, they bash it every chance they get. The funny thing is though, civ2 is just as screwed up as this one. Maybe not so much in the graphical sense because of less demands on the computer while playing civ2.

I kind of like it though, it has/had allot of potential. Not a bad multiplayer game.

        Turn to Don.

You should remember that Civ2 is a very old game now and has stood the test of time very well. I somehow doubt that there will be many people playing CtP in ten years time! I know for sure that with the completion of the remaining Pbems I am in it will be uninstalled and the CD neatly filed in the dustbin.

It is a great shame that Activision had such great imagination but failed so miserably to put their ideas into effect. If only they had just adequately play-tested it before release rather than using us poor mugs who parted with our cash do the job for them. For a major software company to announce that they simply were not going to offer further technical support after the second patch beggars belief.

The coup de grace is that they have repeated the whole grisly mess with CtP2!

I fear that the poor Celts are beyond diplomatic help now.

Yeah, good points Jon. I didn't like ctp2 either, but once again they had some good ideas. Too bad they didn't just improve ctp1.

Do you think you will get much science out of them Swissy. With one city they probably have research rate of 50.

                Turn to Don.

I don't think you'll get any Tech from the Celt's, Swissy.

I reckon the AI has thrown a fit as the one City they have was as a result of Slamp building Star Ladder. They don't have Space Colonies and I think the AI cannot cope with the idea of building a conventional Settler and transporting it down.

Now I'm a Technocrat I think I should do the decent thing and put the poor souls out of their misery.

Wow.. were on a roll today

I just checked it out and its in revolt. Has it been like that long? Your right Jon, I don't imagine a task like that is within its capabilities. It can't even do simple stuff let alone something like that.

Well I'm a fascist maybe it would be more fitting for me to do it. aww.. but they do love me so. I'm a fascist with a big heart.

Try sending a spacefighter up the space ladder jon and see what happens.

                      Blood thirsty lot you are

You got me curious and I checked. A space city cannot build a conventional settler. How about if I give it space colonies and see if we can get it to grow. Kind of like growing a bacteria culture or something.

                        Turn to Don.

Sorry Swissy, but that Celtic SC is sitting on top of Star Ladder and as such I claim prior ownership.

So 'tis farewell sweet Celts and the intellegensia of Durrow are rejoicing tonight!

This really has been a quickie! Three Turns in two days?

                        Maybe a record?

Jon, just bounced the turn twice. Seems my mail server can't find freeuk.com. Didn't have any problemsd till today. I'll try again in a couple hours. Is there an alternate email?

                                Turn to Don.

There was nothing in Durrow at all.

I went in very hard but there wasn't a single Unit. I reckon it must have been rioting continuously from reaching Size 2 and the AI had no way of stopping it.

                                BTW.

Sorry for the delay guys but, hopefully, all is sorted out now.
