err.. no problem Saddam, hows your scuds?

I installed the hack. Then I installed the Apolyton pack in the scenarios folder. Then I stuck Slamps quickstart in the Apolyton folder. Don't forget to change the packlist number. I don't think the Apolyton pack/Apolyton Quickstarts messes with the default files so you don't have to worry about pbem/online games. I think you should wait for Swissy or Jon as they could give you a better answer than I.

It works out of the folder, as is. The only exception is you cannot open the game by double-click. You must make a folder in the games folder, I call mine PBEM, and place the file in there. Then you load it like a regular saved single player game. A hassle, but worth it as thw Apolyton Pak is a more challenging game.

The Aztecs have managed to get a city into space.

Haa! So you now think to subjugate your unfortunate citizenry in Space as well?

Just move that Destroyer out of my Territorial Waters pronto!

Do you guys find moving units around in space kind of slow? Some games seem worse than others.

Yes, I go to the pub for a pint and maybe, just maybe, my Space Transport will have arrived at it's destination by the time I return. The real trouble is that by that time I get back I have, in all likeliness, forgotten why I sent it there in the first place!

I had thought it to be a combination of so many cities and units on a Gigantic World. I know that the .csg is far larger for APQS than for any other game I'm in but this is a first for me using CD's Mod. PBEM's do not seem to get to the Underwater and Space City stage normally and this has been extreme in just about every other way, so why should Space be different?

The appallingly slow movement only seemed to kick in with the establishment of colonies, for me, so maybe that was 'the final straw'? It is strange though, that it is difficult to even focus on a Space Colony and placing Improvements up there is really hard work.

Maybe Slamp could shed some light upon this?

How much Ram do you have Jon? I have 64MB. I agree, its almost impossible to accomplish anything up there.

I first encountered this with Slamps PBEM, It was really frusturating, but what I also found was that certain areas of the map were worse than others.

Do you find these boards slow? I found them sluggish in the past, then recently they did some modifications to the server or whatever. But now since the recent changes loading threads can be very slow.
