Some of our more charatable citizenry have taken to throwing them scraps of leftover food, that these pitiful beings might not actually starve, as they seem to have no noticable survival skills.

Ah Rick, I think you are mistaken about this and a great many things. Concerning the charts it appears to have gotten the rankings right now. However it is vastly overating the Dutch and Russian Empires, Empire of course isn't the right word Perhaps villages or tribes would be more fitting.
