While our lawyers are still working on a solution for the failed elections, a group of industry tycoons secretly meet with each other.

They decide that because the country needs leadership, and because they are the most powerful people of the country, it is obvious that they should take up responsibility.
Who needs elections anyway ?

Surprisingly enough, their ideas are accepted immediately by the people.

Hasdrubal has ordered more efforts in finding Hamilcar.

The ressources spend on pure military has been cut down sligtly - but the money are not used for his people. The money will instead be used on establishing an enormous intelligence service.

Rumors are still spreading among the people in the cities - Hamilcar is here.

But Hamilcar can do nothing yet - he has only a few contacts among the armed forces.

As the world knows, the Canadians, not being satisfied with being the most powerful civ on this world. Has decided to atack the Spanish. Not wishing to be pushed around, we have retaliated with what meager forces we have available. I really do not want war, but the Canadians struck first. And having learned our lesson from the Phonecians, we know it is better to strike hard and fast. Perhaps it is time for another world power to be brought back to the pack.

It is true that we struck first, but we only struck one thing, a spy. We have encountered Spanish spies many times before and just gave them a kick in the ass. But this time we decided to shoot him on the spot. What angered us about this particular fellow was that he stole a tech from us. He could have asked.

We too do not want war but hey what can I say we want revenge for a Spanish over-reaction to our killing his thieving spy. btw.. it seemed to me after a turn or two of searching it was heading in the direction of the Egyptians.

As for being top dog, (.. which totally baffles this little canuck, I guess I must be doing something right)i'm not aggressive in the slightest and willing to share my good fortune with all of you. If this stupid game had better diplomacy I would gift you all wine, women and song.
