The peace treaty icon disappeared when I re-entered my cities. New peace traety has been sent. Now Don, about those paratroopers in my area, please move them out.

      Turn 235 to Don.

        Turn 236 to Maestro.

Peace is again resting overall this world.

Hasdrubal send this message to the spanish:

Still - be careful. Our troopship are only heading for the coast to evacuate the rest of the famous phoenician taskforce. That one, that learned the spanish to kneel.

In an temple far away - the news of a global peace reached a certain young man.

        What? I don't believe this?!?

My informers tells something very different. But this might be the time. Most of the people are tired of war, we have had heavy losses - though others says different.

        I'm ready.

I'll ask the canadian government for permission to get a ride back to my country - as soon as possible!

Before Hasdrubal is provocating another war.

Back in Phoenicia - in Hasdubals office:

What???????? Who is protesting????? Get rid of them - now!!!!!!!!

Comrade Mao sits back and watches the results of the Spanish peace negotiations.
He does not understand why they did not make any counter-demands at all.
Perhaps, they assumed them to be self-evident.
            Of course they are right.

Meanwhile, Mao's work is far from finished.
Everywhere from the nation, reports are coming in from people complaining about intolerable levels of pollution.
It is time to convert our industry of destruction into an industry of conservation.

All hail to a new era of peace and prosperity !

Turn 237 to Maestro half-hour ago.

All phoenician troops has now left spanish territory.

A diplomat is ready to establish diplomatic relations with the spanish if allowed.

Now, that the phoenician people isn't at war anymore, some has begin to think at old times again - the happy time under Hannibal. Many wait just for news from his son.

The citizens of Oryx have the honour of inaugurating a new recycling center, one of many to follow.

                  Turn 237 to Don

Both Don and I have experienced the effects of pollution in the APQS game. Individual cities that get to high have dead squares appear around them. But when the total world pollution gets out of hand, watch out. There was an island that became 4 islands. Rivers appeared where none were before. An inland city, and I mean at least 5 squares or more to the sea in any direction, became a port! So you better start building those recycling centers fast. The one saving grace in this world is the availability of Ectopian government and the threat of eco-terrorists.

Yes, the effects can be quite unpleasant.
Looks like peace came none too soon.

                      Turn 238 to Maestro.

                      "Hasdrubal - Sir!"

An young officer made honour. "I have to report unrest in several of the coastalcities. I have also have to report, that some expect a man called Hamilcar to come and be a new leader. They talk, as if he was an religious person or something".

Hasdrubal smiled. "Well done. I'll see to this."

First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

Now, also the city of Drax has completed their recycling center. Citizens think that Oryx bought pre-made parts to finish their recycling center ahead of schedule.
I think they are just being jealous.
