Quinns: Now are you unfair agaist Eagles at War.

The game was launched the 28. november 2000 at 14:36 Apolyton time.

But the birth had taken much too long time - I agree to that.

TheBirdMan -- Granted. By inception, though, I meant the day of proposed start, which was 18-Nov-2000. So I don't think I am unfair in my comment. No, I still wish to play Eagles at War, and I appreciate all the work you've done so far, but it is taking a lonnnnnnnnnggggggggg time to get going.

Quinns, I would love to play another Game using this Mod and really cannot praise it too highly. Slamp underestimates just what he has done with the Acc-Start by having it 'staggered' so that you don't simply have a set of Size 5 Cities on Turn 0, which at any decent Difficulty Level, will just Riot and Starve. It takes two fabulous Mods, interlinks them and then adds something totally new. Experience has shown me that in MP CtP, for other than DM's, you must have a 'kick start' into the Game or else it can so easily be destroyed by the apathy of all but the most dedicated.

Swissy also deserves huge credit for his series of Games and Sophix giving us, what seems to be, the most popularly used Mod of all in Semi-Acc. I've not yet played WesW's Mod but have heard nothing but unequivicol praise for it on the BB. It really does just ram home, as I said before, just how wonderful a Game CtP should have been on release rather than the subject of universal derision by most old CIVer's as it was. These guys, plus Apolyton, have shown those of us who did not just throw the the CD into the bin how wonderful the Game could, and should, have been if only Activision had put in a little more work rather than rush out an incomplete product.

Great Jon! I'll be whatever is available, (if you like). Is this an "open" map or "random"? If open, could I get a copy of the map before (or when) you start the game up?

            195 to Slamp

My pollution graph just dropped 20 turns, from the 70's to the 50's

              Turn to Don.

I fear that the Pollution has just about reached critical! For all the improvements I build nothing seems to stem the tide to any meaningful extent.

              Expect the worst next Turn.

                      I'm in too.

I can "get" a CTP II us-copy in 24 hours if I want. But I cannot buy it anywhere yet.

                        Turn 197 to Slamp

A new game sounds good. Seeing that this world maybe underwater before anyone has the technology to live there. Just when I'll have all my dead zones fixed, I'll get a whole new bunch to work on.

If you are in Swissy then we have our five and I think that is the limit for a fast and flowing game.

I'll send out an email to confirm things.

                            Turn to 'Dog Lover' Don.

Good to hear you are in Slamp. When the final spot has been filled, I agree 5 is enough, I will start things off. Should be within the next couple of days, I hope!

I apologise for the continued level of German Pollution but do ask my neighbours to understand that none of them have the problems associated with such very heavy concentrations of population. This will hopefully be helped by the rapid construction of Security Monitors but the lessening of German Production further will serve little purpose save to delay the construction of Pollution reducing City Improvements. It should also be noted that Germany cannot ignore her defence needs at a time of rapid technological advancement - a Machine Gunner is of little value when confronted by a War Walker!

                              Turn to Don.

My apologies Brothers and Sisters but Germany is doing all within it's power to reduce carbon emissions. This will soon be reflected on the Pollution Graph as another two Nuclear Plants plus a Recycling Centre came online this Turn.
