"Our warning have been implemented. The 111 Pikeman Battalion of the 11th Brigade of the 2nd (Southeast) Army have attacked the Zulu Mounted Archer Battalion near the Greek-Zulu borders. The Zulu unit have been annihilated. We do not wish war with the Zulus and we are willing to sign peace with them if they accept our demand!"

Turn 41 to King Thor ---

As Assyria is totally surprised by this Zulu-Greek conflict, Assyria declares its neutrality until more information is collected.

                Turn 42 to Thor ---

Assyrians were not aware that there were any "official" borders from the beginning of creation. Geographical features do not constitute borders unless agreed upon by the nations involved.

Assyrians still waiting for more information. In the mean time, we are neutral in the Greco-Zulu war.

We agree with the Assyrian leader. There were no previously agreed upon borders to begin with. There is no way to claim that the land the Zulus claim is indeed yours.

Perhaps the two waring nations can come to reach a compromise on this issue.

Great Zulu leader, we see your diplomat approach, he is most welcome and will be able to make use of our road system to reach our nearest city. Our diplomat heads south to your land and hopes to extablish permanent diplomatic relations with your nation and hopes to then proceed to the land of Assyria.

                    Out of turn ---

Uh oh, Constantine of the Greeks... Now you done it... You made Shaka angry. That's a bad thing.

Assyria welcomes the Diplomat from Russia (or Prussia? ... which is it again?). Please let us know your general route of approach as we may be able to escort him.

I know.. confusing aint it. Prussia in the real world is about the place poland is right now. Its an ancient term for that is normally associated with German barbarian tribes. But It has a lot of slavic people there. Then there is the land of Siberia which is also under Russia.

So basically in the game, Russia is the nation/civ/country. Or the Slavic Republic.. or whatever. The Land that the Russian people originated from and then built their empire on (atleast in this game) is Prussia. Oh what the Hell, I might as well explain to you how I figured I'd set it up. If you look closely the Area available for me is split into two major landmasses. the one connecting to Zululand I've named Prussia, the One to the north connected to the Polar Peninsula, is Siberia. Together, I intend to have the Russian Empire consist of the lands of Prussia and Siberia. Clear enough quinns?

Map Creator's note (yes that's me):
The nation's start positions was not random!
They where put in specific areas which areas constitute each nation's vital expansion area.
That I had in my mind when I was creating the map!
If you open the maps the Zulus have the biggest and maybe the richest area from river and forest (Jungle) aspect.
The Japanese might have the smallest area but I have put them across the Siberia where supposed to be shared between them and the Russians. Well accually the fastest will get the biggest slice .

                          From gaming aspect:
                          There are no predifined borders!

                          Player's opinion:
As the Zulus had more available land than me I desided that he could go back just one tile as it was a strategic tile for me. A sea passage plus less borders to cover. He had nothing to lose but I had. He din't pull back, he didn't even responded to my warning so I force him to do leave . It was an attack to protect my interests otherwise I would be in a disadvantage position against the Zulus.

The borders is there for me!
It's the best for both Greeks and Zulus.
I could forward my warrior battalion on the North passage and establish a border some tiles eastern but I accept not to.

                          That is my final desicion!
If the Zulus do not agree then war will shall have!!!

Turn 43 to Russia (which is composed of Siberia and Prussia) ---

After reviewing the maps sent by the Greek leader, Assyria recognizes no God given right to the area that Constantine professes to be his. We therefore condemn this Greek act of hostility towards the Zulus over this border dispute. The only way Assyria sees to resolve this is for Zulu to destroy a Greek unit of equal value.

                              Shaka not happy

Shaka just sit here, not hurting no-one, and get attacked.

                              Shaka angry....

If Stavros managed to build a mounted archer wich is much faster than my warrior and send it to my borders faster, when he didn't ask for a common accepted border line but assigned by himself the borders and declined my maps exchange request then I do consider him hostile toward my nation and I recognize the right to proceed to such actions!
I do respect everyone's opinion on the subject and that's why I have sent you the maps but I reject irrevocable proposals like sacrifising a Greek unit!
