    Turn 110 ==> Demosthenes

    Egypt congratulated Comrade Emperor Rick on the Assyrian invention. Several of the Pharaoh's staff have signed up with AOL and anxiously await thier handbags; and our more than slightly interested in what this XXX could mean.

    Egypt also congratulated Comrade Demosthenes on the launch of the Welsh global satelite system, and hoped that with the information it provided would dispel any future covert attacks.

    The Memphis Environmental Institute revised estimates down slightly to 32 years, but there was skepticism among their officials concerning the validity of the numbers. They did state that they were glad that the recent Welsh estimates had been a severe miscalculation.

    Atthribis completed the building which would hold the soon to be established Roman embassy, The Pharaoh is said to be traveling up to Atthribis to greet the Roman Ambassador.

    Egypt also asked Rome's permission to send the diplomatic party home as soon as the embassy was established, so that he does not impede transportation in the area.

      Turn 109 ==> Mobius

      Welsh scientists have taken back their previous estimate of global catastrophe, and now predict that 43 years seems about right before we are slide beneath the ocean.

      The Welsh government also takes back her inciteful remarks about Roman efforts to clean herself up. Whilst the major polluting cities of rome have reduced their pollution, and we send our most gracious thanks for this, Roman pollution overall does not seem to be coming down to any respectable level.

      It is noted that a plateau seems to have been reached by Roman pollution, and we hope that the only way is down from there.

      In the meantime, rubbish and effluent still washes up on the Southern Welsh shores, with radiation in that area on the increase. We can only assume that it is due to the 7 or 8 confirmed Roman Submarines in that area, and henceforth call for a complete withdrawal from service and decommissioning of all Roman submarines. Afterall, now that we are at peace, surely there is no need to be acting in such an unfriednly manner.

        Wales congratulates the Assyrians on their most impressive achievement. The Internet will come to be the most useful tool known to the civilised world. However, the issue of spamming must be dealt with before it gets out of hand.

        The advent of the Welsh Globesat, codenamed the Peaceful Environmental Reconnaissance Vehicle, or PERV for short, could prove to be a perfect match for the Assyrians Internet, especially with these XXX sites you talk of!

          Rome congratulates both the Welsh and Assyrian governments on their recent wonders!

          Rome herself has been too busy combatting pollution to bother with wonders lately...

          There was also great rejoicing in the streets and cities of the Roman Empire as it became news that diplomatic relations with our old friends the Egyptians had finally been restored...

          The Imperator expressed regret over the whole 'Pariah Summit' affair which soured our cordial relations and hopes that this bleak episode of our history is now behind us...

            Assyria is unsure of whom we should congratulate, as both Wales and Rome seem to be in hot pursuit of the Globesat Wonder. Whoever should win the race, the women of Assyria request that the technology not be used to watch them as they bathe! Our women are quite demure, and would blush to think another nation was observing their most private moments.

                While I have a moment to spare, I want to give you all advance notice.

                I will be moving house after Friday October 20th. "Again? " I hear you all cry, yes, I'm afraid so. After moving from Newcastle back to my hometown of Birmingham, I'm now moving down to the Big Smoke, the Capital, London, where fortune and fame surely await me with baited breath

                The details are a little sketchy at present, as this has all happened over the last 48 hours really, but in the last week of this month I shall be in London looking for a new home. "Looking? " I hear you cry, yes, I don't have a home or job sorted out as yet. My better half has got a transfer, and I will follow her wherever she goes, all else will fall into place at a later date.

                I will update you on details as they are sorted, but I may well be unavailable for up to a week, and so subs may be required. All volunteers are welcome, I'm in the following games:

                Swissy 2
                Swissy 3
                Deathmatch
                Demos
                Love conquers

                Sorry to be a pain in the proverbial, but consider yourselves warned.

                Cariad, Demosthenes.

                    Turn to Demos (yesterday)

                    The Roman diplomat was welcomed at the embassy, but another 'diplomatic' agent was not so welcome. It appears that he had infiltrated Egyptian soil and stolen a technology. His location had not been discovered as this went to press. Several top level Egyptian officials stated candidly that they know this perpetrator came from Rome, and asked that a technology be reciprocated back to Cairo. The Pharaoh has made no official statement concerning the matter.

                    The Pharaoh recieved the same conflicting messages as Assyria did, and find it very odd considering that Wales supposedly completed 'PERV' last year.

                    The MEI revised pollution estimates down to 30, noting that for every new year, the time to disaster drops by two years. They also asked that the other nations Enviromental agencies share thier estimates with them as to paint the clearest picture of our fragile earth.

                      Hurrah!! The people of the world appear to be gaining the upper hand in the battle against pollution. Welsh scientists estimate that the d-day for environmental armageddon has been pushed back to 40 years, and the most polluting cities in the world appear to be making a huge effort in their drive to clean up.

                      Although you thought you'd never hear me say it, hats off to the Romans, it seems that their pollution curbing policies are having good effect.

                      Welsh anti-pollution measures continue, with nuclear plants and even more recycling plants being completed. Many of these cities constructing recycling plants do not actually need to for themselves, as their pollution levels are so minimal, but as these construction aid mankind, it is our duty as Comrades of the world.

                        Turn 111--> Sophanthro

                        So, congratulations are in order to the plucky Welsh or being first to launch a PERV into orbit around the Earth. May it bring you much peace of mind.

                        And are the Romans really planing to put all their cities under bubbles? We wonder why would anyone wish to block out the blue skies that have only recently been restored? Also, rumour has it that the bubbles are extremely hard to keep clean, and are popular targets for graffitti from local youth.

                            Turn 112 ==> Mobius

                            With the hostilities now seeming like distant history, it appears that all nations are embarking on modernising their state and infrastruture.

                            Indeed, Welsh PERVing has noted a strange form of transportation being widely used in the Roman Empire. Civilians are apparently able to glide between cities, which must make travelling from one side of Cailgula's territory to the other a very short haul indeed.

                              Much as Rome congratulates our Welsh comrades on the completion of PERV, Caligula is somewhat concerned that Wales is able to PERV over Rome's assets so easily...

                              It has got to the point where no Roman maiden feeling that she can relax in her garden without wondering if the skies above her are full of Welshman PERVing at her...!

                              Indeed, with the advent of ASSYRIA ONLINE Rome wonders whether the voyeuristic tendencies of the Welsh have not found their way onto this newfangled 'Internet'...
