    Out of Turn ---

You have my permission, Oh True One, to order your diplomat due north through the land of Inca. But after two or three hundred leagues (2 or 3 tiles) you will be entering Spain. I see that you have already requested permission from Madrid.

Good to see that someone else has the piece of mind to display prudent vigilance.... Keep the rest of you bastards honest...

'Bout time you people took the war effort seriously and at least went to standby. My defence industry almost went bust 'cause there wasn't enough war mongering going around. But we're up and running again

(I've noticed that smilies let people know that I'm roll playing )

Ahh. Yeah... You welsh people (nice people the welsh)... Sorry about kicking your diplomat to kingdom kum, but he was nosin around where he had no business nosin
(For the sake of taint Jon... nosin, is not the same as No-Sin... if you know what I mean (Notice... more smilies...)

        Turn 58 to Quinns

Greece joins what cynics would describe as a stampede to "Alert" status. But what else can we do?

It is to be hoped that this doesn't lead any nations to feel the need to go to a full war alert status, as things are tense enough in our little world!

          Turn 59 to Jon ----

Rating turn. Power graph counts towards ratings this turn.
          -----

Incas "On Alert". Oh how the Generals are happy. Maybe they'll get that War Medal that they have so coveted all these years. Quinns does not share in the elation that his bloodthirsty generals have. "Perhaps there is a better way...". He thinks.

            Turn 59 to Madrid.

My Children, I am saddened that there should suddenly be an upsurge in Military Readiness and have Prayed for you all that love will enter into your hearts and you shall seek the path of peace. The War of words between several of you has equally distressed me with wild accusations thrown back and forth with ever greater venom behind them.

'Seek reconciliation and compromise for it is the way of the Lord!' Book of St Jon v.III c.V

Unfortunately with all who border the 'Sacred Realm' increasing their state of Military Readiness I have had to accept the pleas of my Generals and do likewise. Do know that this was done with a heavy heart and the moment I see that peace has returned to the World I shall revoke my commandment.

Brother Tomas, Beloved Neighbour, I beg permission for a missionary to come under your protection and pass through your lands to the far off lands of the mythical Ink-Car people. If these mysterious people of folklore really do exist I would desire to establish a small chapel so as to show them the ways of civilised man.

            St Jon, Calm amidst Turmoil.

Again Brother Tomas finds himself agreeing with his esteemed colleague St. Jon...

Roleplay or no Roleplay, Brother Tomas feels that certain words, actions or behaviours are not fitting for this forum without the Whole World agreeing what is acceptable...

Brother Tomas feels after much deliberation that he has found the true meaning behind the usage of the word 'bastards' by our Australian neighbours...

Obviously breaker is not at war with anyone - nor is there any threat of one, therefore he must be ON ALERT because he doesn't trust his own population...? Spain cannot as yet thing of any other context as to call his neighbours 'bastards' would be such an obvious 'faux pas' that we cannot even consider that that comment may be aimed at us... Besides, Spain is a Catholic nation, any perpetrators of the bastardisation of our nation would be summarily 'introduced to the Horse' for their part in Heresy, of course!

To our Welsh and French friends - feel free to use our great avenues in the interests of the furthering of World peace!

                Turn 59 ==> Stavros

As a reaction to all other nations raising their military readiness, Wales has been forced to do the same. This is just a precautionary measure however, and to prove our innocent intentions we have offered peace treaties to all and sundry.

We hope that you will all agree to the peace proposals, for Wales is the weakest of all nations, lingering far behind everyone in science, population and rankings. We can offer no threat to anyone, and hope that the over-zealous among you do not try to take advantage of this.
                Cariad,
                Demosthenes.

                    Turn 59 to Quinns

Athens is delighted to accept the offer of a Peace Treaty with the distinguised Welsh. May the rest of the world find your admirable offer equally compelling.

We wish to welcome the Diplomat from Australia to Greece. If you continue traveling in a straight line along the coast, you will soon come to Ithika, where a lavish feast has been prepared in your honour!

Mobius, Stavros, St Jon, Rick Elkins, Quinns, The True Demosthenes. Ratings updated tonight.

We the Inca, also accept the gracious offer of peace from the Welsh in the hopes of demonstrating our pursuit of goodness in this world. We feel that war would surely lead to evil, no matter what face the perpetrators wish to put on it.

His Purity notes with satisfaction that tempers seem rather less frayed. This is a cause for happiness as conflict, even when not on the battlefield, is still at odds with the love and peace that is his Saintly desire.

Beloved Inca, welcome to the shores of France! You needs not trek all the way to Avignon to establish your Embassey but merely seek the well known Beach Resort of St Tropez.

As a result of our fruitful private negotiations I trust that the Honourable Xenophon will accept our offer of a Peace Treaty. All such things are but stepping stones to a long lasting and mutually fruitful friendship.

Welsh people release a huge sigh of relief, for the gracious acceptance of peace treaties. We now feel more safe and secure in this most turbulent of times.

Right Rick. Sorry The True Demosthenes, now that this is a rated game and you missed the 24 hour rule window, we had to deduct 1/10 of a point from your ratings, (but I don't think you were "next turned"). I know that you won't be able to sleep at night for quite some time due to this enormous penalty .
