yeah cho ko nu's are a bit late, and the banana turn times are getting annoying

If we have iron and they dont a swordsmen attack should work fine, we'll know when we finish researching it I guess.

Chu-ko-nu's wont be so soon after we hook up iron as machinery is an expensive tech.

Must look up the Great Engineer tech table.

Machinery is assured with a great engineer. Though the pyramids would also be nice.

            But machinery is certainly better.

We should maybe leave the decision to use engineer on machinery or Great Lighthouse when we see where iron is and if we can get it asap.
It will be that moment when the strategic decision will need to be made - to pursue wealth or build up strong military first.

Chok rush our neighbours? Who'd be up for that if it works out that way?

We'd be bananas not to take advantage of a golden opportunity to harvest the fruits of our opponents' labors.

If the oportunity presents itself then I agree, take them down and have the whole continent to ourselves.

I think we should get the Axman into production as soon as the Copper is connected were still total naked, the barb waves will be coming soon. Our second city would be too slow on production of the first Axman even with its mine, once the pasture is up and running it can be the main unit pumping city.

So initialy we could build Settler or Granary for a few turns to prep it. Then switch to Ax completing it asap and then returning to the initial production.
Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche

Agreed on our flimsy defenses, which is why I was asking how whipping an Axeman would interact with our forge, given 0 through 4 hammers invested. We might be able to get a pretty good deal.
