Well it looks like we have 2 options, whip quickly for 2 population or build up to 59 Hammers and whip for 1, I favor the first option, we will have sufficient population and will regenerate very rapidly with our Rice/Floodplains workers. We wont be able to work the mine for a bit but it still accelerates us in the longterm. We should take Slavery as soon as the Settler is done and get the Forge whipped the following turn.

I doubt we will be able to save 10 turns but we can certainly whip forge and Colossus, for which we have production bonuses.
If I understand this correctly (which I'm not at all sure I do ) this slavery exploit is only useful if you have a hammer boosting civic or building. So we won't get any additional advantage before we have a forge.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

The turn has arrivedCompanions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche
