If everyone else b-lines to Theocracy, wouldn't it be a good idea for us to follow a different b-line and thus easily get all the good wonders?

Also I'm wondering, is other civs being able to see your cities' line of sight that bad? I mean, in SMAC we had to deal with much worse when infiltrated. Besides, personally I feel you get much more important information for free simply by pressing F9 and F4. For instance due to the F9 powergraph you can't hide it anyway if you have a strong or weak military, so is the additional information of being able to see what units are in what cities that significant?

i agree, maniac. i don't see how it could possibly be that much of a deal. also, to a certain extent we can station units so they can't be seen in the case of un-wanted religionspread

and we can always spread state religion fast to all cities via missionaries to prevent autospread of other religions (off course, spiritual players with our religion could change to state to have a peek, and maybe sell teh information...)

on a related note, do we even know what kind of map we are playing? i mean, i don't think we are alone on a pre-astronomy isolated isle cause this is CMNed but we could still be, no?

there's also the issue of open borders and information selling, but i guess it's easy to forbid units crossing borders to our future trading partners

as maybe you can see from my naivity, my pbems haven't advanced much and i don't play online
