BF, why would you trade cities though? trading a city so that you transport troops? Out

Trading/gifting a city so that a team can survive as a vassal? I think it should be out, but some disagree.

Trading a city to a thrid party in war to give the war happiness when the original owners tries to take their former city back? Ought to be out IMO.

Trading cities on separate islands so you have your own island? Or what about trading far flung cities on the same continent for cities closer to each teams core? What is the difference? Both are border treaties, neither will transport troops, an OB could be signed. Both teams could be slain as there will always be a route of transport of troops to the cities, via either galley or across land.

Other city trades/gifts can have other effects on the game, and it is those that should be looked at.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

For some of the reasons you have stated and for some of the reasons I have stated and for some of the reasons that I have yet to think of.

I think it will be painfully obvious to the Admin's if a situation reeks of "not in the spirit the game."

That is something I would not risk though. Make the rules water tight, and make it so that theadmins judgement is not required. Discuss everything now, and make everyones life easier. I want to know what ia acceptable before I start plans, I don't want to have to write and email, run it past the rest of the team, send it to the admins and wait for a judgement. And I'm pretty certain the admins don't want to keep on getting called to make up the specific rules for the game as we go along.

Ever heard of a rhetorical question?

I think the process of talking about every possible reason that is acceptable and what is not would take too long and would not be of interest to 90% of the players. Already we are over discussing it.

We simply agree that that there will be legit reasons for gifting/trading citites and if anyone has a problem with a specific account of it then they take it to an admin who in turn may either make a decision about it or take it to the rest of the teams for a specific discussion about that account.

I'd like to see the game get on the road.

And the game won't get on the road until the next patch is released. And trust the admins, they know that it won't take long for the next patch to be released, for one reason or another...
