The point is to keep the in-game map trades usefull. On a in-game map, you can see the location of resources etc... A screenshot can be doctored to only show the info you want the other team to know.

I don't want anyone to be able to "doctor" anything; it's just one of the reasons to allow map trading.

If you say it's more like the first one => screenshots are allowed the same moment as talking is allowed.

It's pretty weird to say "allow screenshots" (by which you state they have the same value as talking, nothing like in-game maptrades) and then plainly state you'd rather have in-game map trades too at that moment.

I'd definately say it is the second and not the first. BTW, allowing screen shots go beyond just what you see in on the map. It allows for information sharing based upon all of the different advisor screens as well. So, to say that allowing map trading would defunct the trading of screen shots is not neccessarily true.

Now, no one is saying teams can't just trade screen shots if they so choose. If you want to be able to "doctor" a screen shot and the other team accepts this, then fine. I just want the option to actually get an in game map for simplicity purposes and to rule out any "doctoring."

I know you're right, and perhaps I am being too prickly.

My concern is with admins who want to have too much of an effect before or, worse, during the game. I am sure Snoopy is capable fo taking those concerns into account.

OTOH, the C3C intersite DG tried the ban on all sshot trades, for the first round. Far too much time was wasted on words. The rule was reversed for the second round.

The solution is to deny any discussion of the game between teams pre contact. Not even any words like 'we have tundra, come North and we might meet'.

I didn't read any of that except the screenshots part from that last discussion. Is the full implications of this (alliances and such) the consensus of the teams?

I'd still really like to see a chat on the out of game rules if possible this weekend. I'm sure there are many more minor issues that aren't being thought of but might come out in a discussion ... and representation from each team at the same time makes discussion easier.

Or is everyone happy with the basic lack of rules?
