yes, it would be both fun and education. The team has a lot of interesting people and good players. Just don't destroy the fun of others (some bad expirience with last demo game, nothing personal).

Team Banana doesn't seem über (they call themselves Banana, for christ's sake)
Team Alpha Centauri would lead to me working under BinTravkin.

That leaves Merc and Sarantium.
Merc doesn't seem to be as Active as Sarantium, so I'm applying here first.

What you get with E_N as a member:
Pros:
One Active Dude who is ready to learn, willing to discuss, and will strongly push any line on which we both agree.
Said dude doesn't have grudges against any currently active player.

Always ready to offer a viewpoint and act as a scapegoat for unpopular views. This is useful if someone has a plan that sucks, but everyone but me respects the leader too much to say "Your plan sucks because of [reasons]".

Cons:
One Vocal Dude who will state his opinions to the team, regardless of who disagrees, and who will become exponentially more vocal for every time I strongly disagree with something.

Resentful of those lacking in Awareness, Understanding and English Literacy, and also for whiny n00bs that, despite preferring to eat at MacDonalds than to compose a meaningful paragraph, would demand their ignorant and backwards-minded views be heard and complied with.
Also Resentful of those who are on the idiots' side.
Distrustful of those whose Real Life interferes with the Game.

I don't see any idiots in this team so far, nor in any other team.
Newbies don't count, since they tend to pay attention and will understand the game once they've picked up a bit of knowledge.

Keep an eye out for McN00bs, though.
I got a PM from a McN00b regarding my stance on the 'Real Life' issue.
In brief, he/she said that Real Life is more important than Civ 4, so people are justified in not valuing Civ 4.

Read and COMPREHEND the message.
I know people are justified in doing other things than playing this DG. That's not the point.
The Point is that I will give more trust to those who are less likely to abandon their posts, act rushed or distracted.
While I'm aware that Casual Players and Non-English Speakers play video games, they are not as good to play with as someone who'll always be on your side and who can clearly communicate.

If you're upset that I value Smart, Experienced, Devoted, Hard-Working, Clear Communicators over others, too damn bad.
There are too many Whiny N00bs that want my respect without having earnt it, and who don't understand that screaming loudly about it isn't going to help their case.
If you have a problem with me being Picky, then you can take all the Idiots, all the Ignorant, all the AFKers, all the Lazies and Slowbies, all the AOLers and all the McN00bs and have them boycott me.
You can be content in your own little world insisting that poorer players demand equal respect, and I'll be free of having crappy Whiny McN00bs on my team.

If you find a skilled player who won't team with me, I pity him for being on the n00b side, and he probably doesn't belong on my team if he wants to bring a bunch of n00bs with him anyway.
I know it hurts when you're not good enough and someone rejects you, and it hurts even more when you can't do anything about it,
but stop being such emo crybabies.

EDIT: In relation to another PM I recieved
No, I'm not resentful against all poor players (else I'd resent myself).
I am only resentful against players who are poor, show no signs of improvement, and demand to be treated as equals to someone with skill.
Those who are Poor and Improving, those who are already Skilled, and those aren't good and don't expect to be treated so (e.g. people who don't play the game) are all okay in my books.
