My first attempt with the bird in the sun...

Another version - needs the background to be one colour. Probably the light blue. The bird is a bit clearer than in snoop's earlier version.

But I think this is the theme, and the icon.

And can we have it put on a shield, similar to GS.

I like yours ... I'm not sure if it'll work well on a shield, though. I actually was trying to make it just on a sun, that looked decent except i got frustrated with GIMP

The shield would be a problem because the bird is so wide - you'd lose too much bird by shrinking it enough to fit on the shield.

If you want an entirely purple shield, you'll have to get someone who's good at dithering to do it ... the pixels next to the bird are yellow+blue dithers, and I suck waaaay too much to fix those

All of these btw I used a 'mosaic' pattern, basically various shades of whatever color I was using, except in outlines. It seemed appropriate to me somehow

And yes I'm still here, just not much for photoshop (and busy all weekend anyway). Oh and I've never read Guy Gavriel Kay either.
