Sorry my good friend Beta, but I tried REALLY hard to read this book and could not get past some, err, flaws.
But, to each their own, and I am always glad to find a fellow fantasy(history) reader!!
I would be ashamed to admit what I enjoy (C. J. Cherryh), so I respect your security to share this in public!!

GB, to be honest, I have not read it yet either. I had it, bought the sequel, and then lost the first one. I am still hunting in my basement for it, and if you saw my basement, you would understand the uphill battle I face.
