  • where does this idea come from?

I put people on the new member part, because I had been told not to accept everyone

so I decided to just wait, and let things happen (and they did.,,)

you are in if you want to be in, which you always were

that is what the post is.. I never asked anyone to whoo my team, all I said is that people would be on the prospective list until things were sorted out

then Beta left, and most people lost interest, I didn't know whether you had or not as well, and so continued to not move you over to the new members area

where do all these ideas come from? I have seen them posted many many times

I didn't let in everyone initially because of concerns (which came to light recently with planet being revealed as a DL of another poly member) and then have been waiting for people to say that they are still interested even if Beta is not on the team

          • I think now would be a good time to talk about civ/leaders (or when ever Europe get there copies)

Anyways, it depends what kind of game were playing, warmoger, builder, mix?

I would try to get a builder-ish leader. My picks would be Elizabeth, Frederick, FDR, Qin, or Hatshepsut. I could also go with Bismarck, Caeser, or Napoleon, but I've only played with Caeser so far.

                  • still have no idea what leader to use. I've only played a couple so far. More for their nationality than their traits. I've played America (washington, roosevelt), Elizabeth of England, Napoleon of France. These nations represent my ancestery, that's why I played them.

                        • oh I just finished my game with the Japanese. Domination victory. He gets a slow start, but by the end he was crushing all in his path. I conquered 45% of the land area (small archipelago map) in about 70 turns. 1963 to 2032.

                          • I have played a lot of leaders, and likes the industrious traits most. Combine that with Financial (extra gold for towns), It's a winner for single-player.
But that gives a rather slow start which can be dangerous during multiplayer.

But the Chinese (Qin Shi Huang) has it's Cho-Ko-Nu (crossbowman) as a good defender later on in the start.

I dont know yet, but I feel that the key to winning is towns, lots of towns.
