I am sequestered to the homefront due to a fractured metatarsal in my right foot, and thus will be pretty much constantly present for at least the next week...

Yeah am trying to get better. Doesn't involve too much more than lying on the couch with ice on my foot and checking to see if there's any new posts on this forum.

Actually it happened on the evening of England's loss to Portugal... again. Silly really. Seems both Rooney and I have a temper problem.

Well, partially related. The England loss compounded some already latent irritation, add a few beers, a stupid bouncer who wouldn't let a friend, recently arrived from Georgia (not the one in the USA), into a nightclub because (supposedly) his shoes weren't nice enough... and "Rooney" decides to kick the corner of a metal fence with soft sole shoes. I nearly passed out from the pain. The next day I realized that perhaps we should have just gone somewhere else... sigh.

During the 1994 NFC championship of the NFL, my team was playing idiotically, and I kicked (heel-first) the footrest of a recliner in anger. I fared much better than the footrest did.

At least the owner of the recliner was me, so I didn't owe money to anyone.
